Successfully updated Firmware and now looking forward for Rooting, and before that do i need to use the Tool by Anto Kus for Full Root? The source in OP was for 1904/1905 and I'm on 2004.

It's okay, just run that tool and you'll be full rooted.

you dont need Tool for Fullroot anymore.. :victory:

You must run that tool to full root your phone, if you don't, you will still have auto reboot if you want to use folder mount or link2sd.

This method has fully rooted my Xperia™ M Dual C2004.

I just used this Application and then used ES File Explorer to Mount R/W and viola! No reboot problem.

EDIT : THIS WILL NOT GIVE FULL ROOT. FOLDER MOUNT CAUSED REBOOT. BUT AFTER APPLYING THE PATCH FROM [NUT] EVERYTHING IS FINE.

Full Root

I just bought my Xperia M C1905 today, is this full root? Or not? Or will become full root after using Tool by Anto Kus? :highfive: One more thing, does it matter which FW version is installed? I currently have 15.1.A.1.9 but there is an update 15.1.C.2.3 and before I root this, I want to get that update. Please advise.

Update first, then root and use the tool

Hi, thank you very much for this tool, it really is the simplest.

I noticed that I get adverts in my apps now, but I have all the ad-blockers installed. I tried the update fix as well. Previously, I used V-root which definitely did give enough permission to block ads. Has anyone else experienced this i.e. some root issues?

I did try uninstalling everything and retrying a few times but it's still the same.

No, I didn't faced any such problem.
But ya this didn't gave me full root without usin the tool by [NUT].

So this method, as stated in the op itself, helps in rooting but isnt a complete root.

    Rooting IMPORTANT !

Hi all, first I want to say thank you to the OP for this tutorial, SArnab©® for giving his time and effort to help me :highfive: and the creator of the applications used.

I tried 5 times before I actually obtained full root, the most critical INFORMATION that busybox version should be the latest stable version is not stated here that's why I failed 4 times. Here's what I did:

    1. Follow the rooting procedure by OP. (That's up to step 7)
** You are now half root.
    2. Install latest stable busybox version. YOU NEED TO INSTALL LATEST STABLE BUSYBOX VERSION FOR THE TOOL TO WORK PROPERLY. See: http://www.busybox.net/
** Busybox X doesn't work for me (Phone reboots after the toast notification "...Success") from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47378231
    **Busybox Installerby JRummy (same result)
**Busybox PRO 9.7.3 (installs but Anto Kus always fails. Reason: Installed busybox version is the unstable version, (1.21.0), and you can't choose to install the latest one) from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2457174
**Busybox by Stephen Stericson (PERFECTLY WORKING, MY LIFE SAVIOR) - I have the PRO though.
Note: Make sure to install latest busybox and install it to /system/xbin
    3. Reboot. Tick USB Debugging, and Connect as MSC, then apply Anto Kus tool.
    4. Phone will reboot, and YOU HAVE A FULL ROOT XPERIA M !

Please hit thanks if I helped you :) :good:
