I tried install the .67 but say it flashed I still get the .244 in settings about phones and I still get the .67 update over OTa listed in my notification bar so why has it not worked and I also tried to install OTA as well but did not work as well why?

Sorry I realised I need to go back and flash the .423 then flash .67 as I am on .244 so hopefully it should work this time so forget my question above.

First flash the complete .2.67 ftf
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2457856
Then flash kernel only of. 423
Then root
Then again flash kernel only file for .2.67
Done :)

ROOT Done what Next??
After rooting what advantages can we have
See what I tried

1. Decreasing NavBar size to 36dpi using @hellvy MOD

2. Add permanent 5 buttons to NavBar (Power, Back, Home, Recent Apps, Menu) using @olahoma MOD

3. Change system fonts just for fun using @Ravensystem GUIDE

Thanx to all people mentioned above for creating and sharing amazing things

Rooting c5606

Can it work with C5606?
When I download 2.67 ftf, it shows C5602. I just wonder it works?
Or please point out where I can download 2.67 ftf for C5606.
Thanks in advanced.

Scared, bricked previous phone

Hi guys,
Just so you know, I bricked one C6506 already trying this, it's a good thing the warranty was still up.
It happened after flashing the kernel for 423, it never booted again.

I have a question. I see that "partition-image.sin" is still selected after un-checking all wipes and checking all exclusions, except kernel.

I don't dare flash it until I am sure this is correct. Also, before flashing the kernel and loader, should I be on debug mode or not?

Thanks guys.

I know you'll understand me freaking out after one device has been hard bricked already.

The files posted here are for C6502
Try with FTF images for .423 & .2.67 for C6506 and this method should work perfectly
