Okay, so do I still have to root using the LTE version or do I reflash with the 1050f firmware?
Are ota updates possible now or are they not with root?
Will this root be able to survive into android 5?

You can root after you update to the latest via OTA. I would not use the custom firmware for now since root is possible with the cwm trick. No one know if this root will do the android lollipop 5.0.

Just done so on my 1050L.
At first I had the "rooted_system_yt2_1050l_usr_s000074_1411051757_ww21l" from the first post.
This one workes fine, but I got an info about an update from the system to YT2-1050L_USR_S000156_1501051822_WW21_ROW.
I tried to updated, but that did not work. So I deceided to go back to original firmware from the first post, but flashed only the system.img.
Now it shows, that I have a 1050F hardware and software, built no. 1050F_S000143_150105.
I have still root access.
I have no fon card here, so I cannot test the LTE function, but it looks like I have lost the LTE function.
Does anyone have the 1050L OE firmware?

If you flash OTA over your rooted Rom you have to root it again.



Back in my S3 time this error was related to the contact app and the app "Kontakte-Speicher" (don't know its name in english)
If you delete the cache of this 2 apps after you backuped your contacts it should not appear anymore.

Or you have to backup and then delete following things in /DATA (maybe the folders are different cause this script is from a S3 forum)

I have no idea how to fix this. I went out and bought and sd card just for this root method today and it won't mount. Tried all three T methods and only the third would let me get to where i could install the specified zip from the other forum. No one on the other forum has answered back so i thought id ask the people who have the same tablet as me lol

You have to format the sd card to the fat32 filesystem.

The yoga doesn´t support ntfs or whatever. Only fat32.

Take the archive easyimage.zip (from stock firmware) and put on the internal sdcard (try to change the region)

Guys, I have compiled the kernel from source 830L here (goal is to compile driver exfat.ko) but after flash missing the signature. Someone has solved the problem with the signature?

Again, make sure there's nothing in your computer that can potentially block adb access. I had snappea installed and it blocked it so mine keeps failing at like 48%, so I stopped snappea from running, rebooted and restarted phoneflash tool and it went smooth as butter. For the region change, did you make sure you have at least one contact added, then type in the search box those codes to bring up the region change page?

The tablet wasallready flashed, everything was running well, but on an old firmware level. So, now I am back on the OE firmware, no root access anymore to make the regulare update, which is offered by the system. I got the updatefile on my tablet, and I can start the update process up tu 99%, than it failed. For the region change I have 20 contacts, but ####6020## number in contacts does not work. I get an info: "ERROR: Could not read ota patch from SD card, or the patch is not correct". If have no SD card, so, of course the system will not find anything on the SD card...

Now I can change the language with the easyimage.zip on the internal storage, but update failed again.
When I went back to OE firmware, I only flashed the system.img, not the recovery or boot.img. Maybe i have to flash all of them?

Damnit, tablet b0rked.

Anyone got an idea why USB doesn't work any more on my 1380F (build 135, rooted)?
Tried 3 usb cables with 2 chargers and my pc.

device off, connect charger or pc -> turns on, starts booting, turns off.
device on, connect charger -> charging light blinks, device does not charge, no vibration or screen on/off on (dis)connect, no charging indicator.
edit: device on, display off, connect charger -> nothing happens at all, not even charging light blinks
device on, connect pc -> no popup, pc does not even see there is a device

Did a factory reset (no change), have no way to try the stock rom (can't flash), but also have no idea how it happened.
In the morning, all is good, in the evening I connect it and nothing works.

Anyone got an idea what I could try before handing the thing in for repair?
