[GUIDE]RUU related info (Extracting rom.zip, Restoring stock, going back S-ON, etc.)

ok that means you haven't flashed the correct RUU it seems ..that might be the problem
you found the correct RUU or rather you have the original backup of the stock ROM ?

that is what i want i just want to find the correct RUU because i cant find the original stock ROM
so can u help me in this because the RUU listed are not enough

The location is Dubai / UAE
You may/may not find the right RUU, it's x.x.415.x

okay can you suggest me a place i can find this uae rom or i just have to root it again and find a proper ics custom rom ?

Ok here goes.
My bootloader says this.
LOCKED
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.29.0000
RADIO-11.24A.3504.31_M
OPENADSP-v5.6.0.2226.00.0418
eMMC-boot
And then the date.

So here's my problem. My phone has these dead pixels. And its not just pixels. It's like a line of pixels. Like 20-30 of em and they change position (weird right? Lol).

I need to give it for servicing. I have 15 days on warranty. So I need help on getting back to stock.

More details : I'm rooted. I flashed the latest firmware (3.33) and I'm running ViperS ROM with Sense 4. I'm from India (if that's helpful in anyway).

I could use some help.

There's an ruu for India on file factory.. follow the instructions in the guide..

You're S OFF so flash the GB RUU.
Then you can check for OTA Updates to get on to ICS.

afaik only a GB RUU is available.
S Off first & then flash the GB ruu.

Exuse me if I get this wrong.
I understand when from root we want to go back to the original state there is posibility to be shown *RELOCKED* instead of original *LOCKED*

Does that ruin warranty?
I mean it will be obviuos that phone was rooted, right?

This is not a thread for warranty nor do I work for HTC.
But if you submit a relocked handset, they will repair all hardware problems.
If it is related to software, then flashing an RUU should solve it anyway.

my current framware is 3.32.415.115 ,so u mean i get downgrade??? i want to have a ICS on my phone (of course i have but coz of wifi problem the rom release for my phone,but my phon could not find update)

my htc sensation currently software info is about this

Code:

android versin : 4.0.3

Soft number : 3.33.707.6

Hboot :1.27

S-ON

I plan to root, s-off and flash the arhd custom rom.
but it says that i must have 3.33.401.xx firmware?
what should i do to change my version to 3.33.401.xx?should i just flash the RUU or the entire FW?should i check some things before,like CID etc?

really?
but in the thread it says something like this

- No need to Super Wipe if you have 6.7.x already!
- 3.33.401.x firmware is required!
- 4EXT Touch Recovery is required!
- HTC Sensation 4G (U.S. T-Mobile PG5810000 | T-MOB010) users can flash this for better signal and data speeds!

Downgrade and rebrand from 3.33

In first place, sorry about my english

I've got to send my HTC Sensation for repair, because I have the dust problem under the skin.

I've debranded the phone, and now I'm running Android ICS 4.0.3, FW 3.33, and HBOOT 1.27 (S-OFF and SuperCID). Because my mobile provider is Orange, I want to install the correct RUU, but the newer rom for Orange I've found is: RUU_Pyramid_Orange_ES_1.35.75.1, and I think that the RRU will not work, because it's prior to the current version I'm running.

My question is, Can I flash RUU 1.35, change CID and S-ON? Or the RUU will no install because it's earlier than the current and I've to do more things?

I've read the Firmware thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767) , but it doesn't make clear for me.

You can flash that gingerbread ruu.. Fine as you are SOFF.. Then after ruu.. Change back the cid.. But don't so SON as that's not really required and its tough to do soff again..

Once cid is done.. You can check for OTA.. And if you have ics ota.. You can very well install it fine
