[GUIDE] SM-G9600/ SM-G9650 Working on Verizon!

4G LTE/3G Network Secret Setting app there is a way via shortcut master lite or pro as well it normally can be invoked via a dialer code but flashing the files in this thread seems to stop or disable them from working.. also I can't change the apn settings it won't let me save changes Ive seen Verizon devices or devices with Verizon Sims do this... must be a Verizon thing anyway oddly enough 3G will work on rare occasions but gets messed up for a while if wifi connects I will get a 1x icon with no data ability but can make calls and send MMS and sms. Plus as far as apn settings I can't find straight talk's for their Verizon based sim only the GSM based Sims (att, TMobile) not can I find the bands they use only the GSM bands. ?
Yes and no I can create one but it won't save it unless I leave the MMSC and the two Multimedia message fields blank it won't save it deletes itself.
Stock vzw firmware does the same thing. Is there a custom rom you can run on that model?
The Stang ROM if works with
U5 bootloader is the only one I'm aware of I don't know if there is any other pie custom ROMs especially that are fully functional.
The similar problem I had with my old S4 and my dad's old S5 (which I'm still working on) is the same pretty much. On the S4 it was the identical issue, with the S5, that's a straight talk branded phone and it won't allow for any prl entry at all. Same symptom on both tho. The only solution I've ever come up with is a ton that allows for custom prls

i know that feel bro. im still struggling with that old straight talk S5 tho. i know its not much more than a paperweight at this point, but its just irritating that its locked down that badly
klabit do you know if the stang5litre pie rom works on with the U5 bootloader version as i might attempt it if it is compatible would like to try leorom but cant figure out the weird dload site..

Hey by chance do you know is there a way to edit /system/etc/apns-conf.xml with messing up magisk/systemless? as system/etc appears to be mounted as rw already.
Ooh sorry I'm just now seeing this. I don't really know an answer for you though. Best thing to do is create a backup and make the change and see what happens.
