Well it's an aosp camera, so if you mean by holding down the capture button and getting multiple pictures, the answer is no. I can take a picture about every second. There are better camera apps on Google play, I wouldn't let that stop ya from trying it out ;)
Have you tried OC5 modem on this? Also, does your MMS/Text drop once in awhile? Mine does, even on Darklord. Yeah, I got it working lol. All it was is a simple latest OC5 bootloader (Revert to stock using OC5 Odin file of everything).
Also, speaking of modem, I'm on MJC instead of the MJ2 modem. Somehow, Darklord wouldn't get me into HSDPA+ on MJ2 modem.

I have OC5 bootloader and the MJ4 modem, any newer modem than that and the sim card will not be recognized. What is this MJC and MJ2 modem you speak of? I've never heard of them.

Regarding the text/MMS, it is pretty solid compared to other ROMs I've tried. They send right away, and if it fails, it tells you right away instead of hanging there for hours "sending...".

Haha, it happens! Yeah, MJ4 modem is as far as we can go. Some ROMs seem to require newer ones unfortunately. There may be workarounds, but I'm not familiar enough with it.

Can anyone help me out?
I screwed up. I did the backup but didn't store it on my PC.

So, after I flashed the NH7 rom, I flashed the MJ4 modem, then TWRP. But in TWRP when I tried to flash any rom I get ''can't mount /data'' errors.
and I just realized I erased all my internal memory, so I don't have anything to restore it. And now I can't even use the stock roms because it stays stuck on the sprint logo.

what can I do to fix the ''can't mount /data''? Is that why the stock rom wont work?

So I take it your wipe included erasing the system and data as well? Or did you just factory reset? Whatever the case, I would re-root your phone. That way you will get back to the functions of your phone again.
I can be wrong and the more experience people may have a better idea. But this is what I would do.

I believe I erased data and system. I did re-root the phone, but still won't go beyond the sprint logo. I just read that when you flash a rom through odin it goes to the system folder, so my guess is that when you flash a rom it doesn't recover the data folder twrp says it can't mount.

I've been reading a lot on the web and still can't find a solution to it.

I always thought that the ROM your using to flash, contains a system file. It must have because I delete my system file every time I do a new ROM install. Try downloading the ROM again. It could that your ROM is corrupted

I personally have never had the "can't mount /data" error occur for me. Are you using the latest TWRP for your device (should be sm-n900p or hltespr)?

Nevertheless, if you didn't wipe your internal storage, or external storage (wherever your backup is) you should be able to restore your backup. I would start by re-downloading TWRP and flash that through ODIN. Try restoring your backup then.

If that still doesn't work, then you will need to start from the beginning and flash a full-stock ROM through ODIN. This will give ypu non-rooted stock rom and stock recovery. Then follow the instructions again.

Sometimes things like this happen due to a corrupt download, bad flash, etc... Hope you get it working, I'll help the best I can.

P.S. when you flash a ROM through recovery, it gets its instruction from a script in the .zip file. This wipes system every time, because that is essentially what is being updated and needs to be overwritten. Some back up data, wipe it, then restore so you never notice tour apps missing and whatnot. System should always be wiped, data too if your changing ROM base (Touchwiz to AOSP) or android version (4.4 to 5.0) etc...

Found the solution, it was within twrp, and it was to format the phone (I had nothing to lose anyway). So it formatted all the phone's partitions and then I could do the stock rom flash through Odin (which I did tri before but it kept stuck on the sprint logo), then mj4 > twrp > AICP.

So if someone else ever has the problem, you can solve it on twrp.

Thanks :D

An update! I've installed Phronesis and then idleKernel (for the Sprint model) and it seems to be running quite good! I usually utilized the N9005 model when installing the ROM and I'm currently on ATT as far as network is concerned.
Thank you for sharing! I no longer have the Sprint note 3, so unfortunately I cannot relate or verify. Would you mind sharing the links to the threads of what's needed, I will add to OP.

Root it and boot it!

Sure thing! I've used idleKernel (spr edition) https://idlekernel.com/note5port/

And the DarkLord kernel (spr edition as well)
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=42119

These are specifically for the Note 5 ports. The idleKernel has a little more brute force but the DarkLord is a little smother. IdleKernel has more options, DarkLord doesn't make me feel the need to tweak it too much. I'm surprised at how well the 9005 ROMs and the Sprint kernels play well together but I'm not having any problems! *knocks on wood*

I bought an unlocked G4 but it wasn't the right edition for the unlocked bootloader (big mess) so I friend it. Almost bought a ZenPhone myself ;-P

Remember to update your APN as they're not Sprint or T-Mobile (or variations thereof).

Thank you for sharing! :)

Yeah when I had the note 3 still, I'd initially try the hltespr build of the custom rom I wanted to try. If it failed or I didn't get service (and couldn't edit apn) I would always try the hlte builds next. From my experience it did no harm, and was usually successful. Identical phones, different radios/bands enabled.

Thanks for sharing your experience, more options for anyone that looks here. Will update OP as soon as time allows :)

I no longer have the Sprint Note 3, and unfortunately will not be actively maintaining this thread. If you would like me to add more, comment or PM me the ROM link. Thank you :)

Hello everyone! I've had some users ask me how to do this, so for those who may be in the same situation, here is a guide to get Android 5.0.1 on your Sprint Note 3 (SM-N900p), for users that are SIM-unlocked and are on a different carrier than Sprint. This has presented me a few problems before, as you cannot go past the MJ4 modem, without losing access to SIM-unlock. In my experiences, I could never get any 5.0+ ROMs to work on my Note 3, while still being able to use/recognize a SIM card from another carrier. I could not get this specific ROM to boot on NC5, so NH7 (possibly newer) bootloader is required. This guide is based solely my own experiences, and a few reported successful users as well. Your mileage may vary.

I will not take responsibility for any damage done to your device, do this at your own risk and free will.

Alright, shall we get started?

I know this is a tedious process, and there may be quicker ways of doing the same thing, but I've found this method most reliable. Hopefully this will help someone as much as figuring it out helped me :)
Please report your results

Credits: Give thanks to these folks, they well deserve [email protected] for AICP android 5.1.1
@nambavuong for the beautiful ROM, thank you
@bigbiff for bringing TWRP to our device
@freeza for MJ4 flashable modem
@micmars for stock NH7 flashable firmware

Enjoy folks, cheers!
Do you know of anywhere to find the nh7 firmware? All links are dead as this phone is a little out of date. But I just picked it up for cheap and really enjoy it. But at the moment I'm stuck without service. Due to not reading sim. I hate to try sammobile just because of the insane slowness lol. Pls and thanks
