[Guide] SPIGEN Ultra Hybrid Custom Backplate

OK so a guy ask me to do this so here we go i'm going to assume you have photoshop installed and you at least know how to use the basics

Get The Case Here: SPIGEN Google Nexus 5 Case ULTRA HYBRID

Step 1: Download my Pre-made template

Step 2: Open it up in Photoshop and Make Sure that you have the Image layer Selected

Step 3: Get the Image you want to use and copy & paste it onto the image layer

Step 4: Use Ctrl + T to resize the image to your liking and done

Step 5: Post Results

UPDATE 30/12/13: The Template has been modified per user request to include an outline also the gray background has been hidden by default

UPDATE 09/01/14: I have released a highly modified BETA Version of the template Which can be found HERE

Changes

- Camera cutout moved up to fit the camera better
- bottom cutout removed
- Top Headphone cutout removed

Feedback on these changes is always welcome

UPDATE 11/01/14: After Some further testing i have decided that the modified beta case design will replace the one linked in the post, So have fun guys.

Thanks a lot for this helpful guide, but is there a chance there might be a way to do this with Paint or any other freeware image editors? I do not own Photoshop unfortunately.

You can use Gimp to do the same thing, with the template. You can download it from gimp.org

Made this background with the template a nexus wallpaper. Trying to imitate the nexus 4, maybe if i can get it printed on a glossy paper it might shine LOL.

How do you guys print it so that it scales with the size of the nexus 5? Do you print straight from photoshop/gimp?

What options do you select?

Print it with Photoshop using the template. I also always use photopaper and cut with an xacto knife. I will try to post mine later.

oh darn i want a case like this too! Unfortunately i have to wait on a refund from my old case (psst. Its a Nilkin and it lets my screenprotector go loose. The one which was included. http://r.ebay.com/EFCv4m).
