no, it happens in every simple reset.
From what I've seen many others have the same problem...
btw, I did this:
I input the code,
shut down the phone,
made the goldcard, copy paste the IMG_Eternity_HTC_Europe_1.09.401.02_Radio_16.23.02.09_A_16.24.00.23_Signed_ETERNITY_RELEASE.nbh
whitch I renamed first as ETERNIMG.nbh
started the proccess, USB mode started,
flash started,
at the end it shuted down,
I restart the device and the only thing changed is the SPL version, from 1.10.x.x.x to 1.9.x.x.x
still branded...

hi,
I have titan I and in bootloader it reads:

PI39100
SPL-1.10.160015.3(132409)
eMMC SANDISK 15188MB,F:B7
TOUCH A1(F:81,ID:1,V11,B:F8)

Radio-16.23.02.26_A
Timeout !!! You're good to go on step 1! What you need is SPL205 aka Step 2 and then DFT HSPL aka Step 3. I highly recommend you opt to go Goldcard method. Follow the original instructions on this procedure or follow mine that are not in the too distance past on this thread. You get one shot at this so you really, really read the instructions before proceeding. Half the battle is the SPL; it has to read 1.10 or 1.09 depending on whether you have the European or the US version.

@berrywr: he's good to go straight away with step 2 (because he has 1.9.x.x.x already flashed) and then step 3. Step 2 debrands the phone and step 3 enables the phone to install customs roms of your choice.

Hi, I did the goldcard method all from the beginning.
This time, also the os was updated, now it is not the at&t version but the europian.
The SPL is 1.09.x.x.x.
The strange thing is that the phone is still branded (!). In spl screen it reads PI39100 and I have to input the unlock code everytime I reboot the device...

...

EDIT:
I installed spl 2.05 and my titan is still branded...
I tried to install HSPL but I can't get the connection establised...

Waiting for instructions...

What do you mean by "still branded"? Do you mean the at&t-logo on the phone? That will not disappear, unfortunately. Enter the SPL-mode and please inform what it says.
The at&t logo! If you mean the one that is printed on the top of the lcd I hope that you are kidding...
If you are talking about the rest of at&t cooking, it's gone (right after the installation of the europian rom).

The problem is that my titan is still PI39100 and not x310e...

In SPL it reads:

PI39100 MFG
SPL-2.5.160015.3(137079)
eMMC SND 15188MB
TOUCH A1(F:81, ID:1,V11,B:F8)

Radio-16.23.02.09_A

And everytime I startup the device, I have to input the unlock code that the seller provided me so that i can use sim cards other than at&t's...

I'm gonna try again to HSPL and I hope that it will work...
The input of the unlock code is the least important problem right now...

And please keep in mind that I'm not a complete ignorant,
my previous htc's where the blackstone and the HD2...
It's just the first time that I bought a branded device...

EDIT: Allthough HSPL says that it installed successfully,SPL is still 2.05...

EDIT #2: From what I've seen, all at&t titans have to re-input the unlock code after restarting - even with a custom rom - ,
so we don't have to bother about this issue anymore.
Also if I'm not mistaken, PI39100 MFG with SPL-2.5.160015 is what I should have before HSPL.
So, everything is ok till this point...
But, when I try to install HSPL, it connects, installs, says that in installed successfully, device reboots, but still has PI39100 MFG with SPL-2.5.160015!
Now what?

I don't want to come off sounding like I'm being deliberately rude so know up front what I'm about to say....please read the instructions and when you're done, read them again. It's like a recipe, there are no shortcuts and even if you do this like a number of us who failed more than our fair share and finally succeeded there are no guarantees here. I was like you once thinking there's a quick fix or I might get lucky. I bought a Titan already HSPL and one night after I got the hardware needed to do this thinking I had about as good a handle on the procedure successfully HSPL'd my wife's Titan at the expense of OSPL'd by device. It took me four days to re-HSPL my device and not by the path I HSPL'd my wife's device. I took notes from all the WP7.x HSPL threads of other devices. Hardware is hardware! PI39100 is the model number of your device. Yes, you can software and registry manipulate your device. I also own a HTC HD2 which can also be installed with WP7.8. I continue to own that device for testing purposes with Android. I wish I had an answer for you but it is safe to say at this point there is no more HSPL development with any manufacturer's devices following the HTC Titan (Eternity). You may remember the Titan II was released almost immediately following the release of the Titan I. The Titan II (Radiance) got a 4G LTE radio and a 16 megapixel camera; it too introduced to us the end of HSPL. Why in the world Microsoft and carriers are hell bent on doing this...who knows...maybe what broke on the news this past week had something to do with it but I do remember the fuss it stirred up a while back on something similar on our devices.

Believe me, I did read more than five times the procedure, I made the y-usb for the goldcard method , found all the hardware I needed, read the procedure five more times, and then did the debrand and the spl update as I was supposed to... The only thing I didn't do, and I'm afraid that it could be the reason I'm stuck, is that after installing spl 2.05, I didn't install spl2.6 - this is something some guys did but I found it out later on another post... . So, after spl 2.05, I tried to HSPL with no luck.

Do you know if I can unlock the titan (with official 7.5 eu rom , updated via cabsender to 7.8) so I can sideinstall xaps?
I never used any unlock for wp so I'm not familiar with the procedure...

Thanks in advance...

I remember when HTC came out with that update and right this very moment I don't know what that fix was. The step 1, step 2 and step 3 "steps" do not require that update. I do know the steps I took to HSPL my wife's Titan was "cake" compared to accidentally relocking my HSPL Titan and re-HSPL again...it took 4 days and a zillion attempts and a level of patience I didn't think I possessed. I visited threads from all over the Windows Phone 7.x forums here at XDA and WPCentral and jotted that process down and had a new appreciation for the developers here at this web site. It too has made me way more careful in what my next device is likely to be and while I prefer to remain with Windows Phone 8 or 9 in the months ahead; there is a hard reality that our customizing days are likely over on this platform.

I agree with the last part about wp...
One last question: Was any of these devices of yours stuck on spl 2.5?
Cause only then I have to retry...

it looks like the sd card use to do the 2.05 is the one with the problem
some have had sucess by using a card reader some other with sd card class 4 and up
some no luck at all

too bad cotulla is not working on it

we should pay cotulla to fix it he is good but most devs dont make a dime

good luck

At first I tried with a usb stick - goldcard method success - but after a few re-format it went out of order, but I was already stuck with 2.05.
Afterwards I tried from the beggining with a card reader and an 512mb sd card - goldcard method success - but still stuck with 2.05...
I give up...

I quess I have to forget about HSPL my ATT titan...
I remember getting stuck on that SPL too. I wrote a step by step of the pair of Titans I have which one was already HSPL but ironically relocked using it as a guide to unlock the other. I had a fun, fun, fun time getting my device interop unlocked a second time and damn near gave up. It is imperative you use the Goldcard method. Don't buy any cheap memory cards here...get a really good USB flash drive or an adapter for a microSD card; I use the PNY 4GB thumb drive and had no success with microSD cards. The only advice I can give all of you trying this is really be patient...just like y'all, I gave up when the flash from SPL2.05 to HSPL 2.05 occurred following a long, long wait of it doing nothing and what seemed like 30 minutes the phone suddenly flashed it and I had HSPL once again. It happened out of the blue. It took me three days before I got the right combination to do so and I mean a lot of reading through these threads up and down XDA asking a lot of questions a long the way. There has been some discussion that depending on how old and how new in the manufacturing cycle of the Titan PI39100s may hinge on whether a successful HSPL can be done and whether the internal drives of these phones weren't up to par and blocks can be corrupted making it impossible to HSPL. It seemed just before the release of the Titan II PI86100 that the newer PI39100s could not be HSPL'd but the European cousins the x310e's could using a 1.09 SPL ROM; the key being taking the OSPL to either 1.09 or 1.10 before returning to SPL2.05. HTC had an update to 2.06, it had no effect up or down when the phones first came out. I've been on the fence as to whether to upgrade to Windows Phone 8. You guys are serious about owning one or both of them, I'm open to selling them. I will burn everything I have especially the ROMs and software I have sitting on my hard drive or reflash them to your specifications if anybody is interested. Take care!

Update - I looked for the Cingular and European ROMs needed to downgrade the SPL; both files clock in at 377 and 411 megabytes and use to be available at a few servers worldwide; I could find no links to perform this download; I have them on my laptop; pm me for instructions.
