Yes you can after fourteen days that the rules from lenovo

@eypcnn is there possible to root with system mode because systemless refuse with some apk like fastergps or adaway for some reason su binary thanks

14 days are super annoying. is there no way to trick phone e.g. rediret / proxy a response?

Root Checker says root and Total Commander works, but Adaway and Titanium Backup do not work and say no root. Is there a solution for this?

Yes because this methode use systemless not systemmode thats why i ask the OP

I suspect that, but what can I do? If I make "echo SYSTEMLESS = true >> / data / .supersu" and the Superuser.zip flashe, then I get a blue Shreen.
So I chose this method. Is there another solution?

After receving the OTA update i m on stock S233 build.
After reading the comments i m really afraid. Please help and tell the procedure for rooting from how to unlock the bootloader and so on. Don't want to brick my 2 months old Lenovo p2. Thanks a lot in advance.

it didnt work on Stock ROM for me too, but worked on Stock deodexed Rom !

Hallo, so it seems that until now there's non safe methods to root P2 Nougat systemless. Is it right?
I read someone doing it by using "SuperSu 2.79" but I didn't understand if it's a reliable path.

Thanks and forgive me fo the -maybe obvious- question: I understand that the stock 7.0 deoxed has already root and works, but in this case will the phone be notificated about next Lenovo official updates and I can install them as if I have the official stock 7.0?
