I was able to save some more juice. Anybody else encrypting the external SD card? I'm not sure if it was something with the latest update but I have had poor battery life recently. Noticed my SD card encryption would give me an encrypted notification throughout the day even if I hadn't rebooted recently. Disabled encryption on that and now my phone is sleeping like a baby again.

Well, I followed the OP and disabled all that stuff, then noticed a lot of functionality that I like about this Samsung compared to my Nexus 6P was turned off. So, I reverted back to stock and disabled maybe 1/4 of the services listed in the OP and I'm fully content. Don't have any before and after battery stats yet, but if it's any better then that's a win for me.

Here are few of my stats after disabling what the op suggested. I'm quite pleased.
Thanks for sharing your results!

I have officially flashed the U firmware and rooted, so experimentation on my end in regards to using package disablers is no longer.

But it's good to see the people are still getting great results from the original experimentation and group effort of everyone who has contributed to this thread.

It was a lot of work trying to fix battery life on a locked down phone, but we succeeded!

Doze mode appears to not work on any firmware due to the kernel
OK so when I get to a computer I'll post this link into the main guide but apparently a user on the Verizon s7 side came up with a zip that fixes doze issues along with a ton of other crap. Like literally a ton. Take a look at his thread and make sure to thank him for his work.<br />

Also, if you disable something(s) that the OP disabled, it seems like you won't get and OTA Update. So I enabled all again, cleared data, restrict background data and disabled the apps I didn't plan to use.
