I have the patched 11.0.1.4 boot image, just waiting for sourceforge to come back online from maintenance so i can upload it. ill hopefully have it up tonight

T-Mobile is not on 11.0.3.1 - Is this for another carrier device? If so it shouldnt be posted here, it will cause trouble for T-Mobile users

Hmm that's interesting. My phone must be a freak case then since it is a GM1915 running 11.0.3.1 but I'll remove my post to prevent any confusion

No, NEVER flash the boot image for a version you are not running.

1. In Magisk Manager, Tap Uninstall Magisk -> Restore Images
2. Go to your phone Settings -> System -> System Update and take the OTA. Your phone will reboot automatically when it's done.
3. Reboot to fastboot and flash the 11.0.1.4 boot image using instructions in the OP

Whoops posted the wrong screenshot lol. I must be confused because I didn't realize there were more than one T-Mobile version of the GM1915? I did a clean install on mine and it auto updated to 11.0.3.1 so I assumed everyone else's did as well. Sorry for the confusion

It won't wipe your phone. Restore Images just restores your stock boot image so you can do the OTA update.
After doing the OTA update, you will be on 11.0.1.4 and can flash the 11.0.1.4 boot image. You'll keep all your data.

GM21AA is the unlocked international firmware. The T-Mobile branded devices are GM31CB

This guide is specifically for stock T-Mobile firmware on devices that have been carrier unlocked.

If you are carrier unlocked and have unlocked your bootloader and are on OOS 11, then this method will root your device.

Otherwise see the link in the OP for the bootloader unlock thread.

You install magisk-manager on your phone. You copy the patched boot image to the directory on your pc where fastboot is installed.
