Well he absolutely would not sell it to me without an account so I took a $50 hit by buying a prepaid plan. I don't know anyone with T-mobile here because, frankly, their service is really hit or miss here. I'm probably silly for paying an extra $50 but oh well.

Anyway, I paid for a SIM unlock abot 45 mins ago and I'm still waiting on the unlock code but as far as the phone itself... :good: much much better user experience than the G2 I just returned.
Ya, seems to be hit or miss on getting it without a plan or active account. Hope the unlock email didn't go in your spam folder.

Did you use cellunlocker.net?

white version isn't available yet on their site, at least not the T-Mobile version
How about this? TMobile White: http://negrielectronics.com/samsung-galaxy-note-3-32gb-lte-t-mobile-unlocked-white.html

I can see the confusion re 850Mhz. Negri's site does not list 850 LTE on the T-Mo Note 3. So, in fact, the T-Mo N3 has every frequency that ATT N3 has and more?

I'm getting ready to ditch the ATT N3 and go w/ the T-Mo N3. I read many posts that it is working well. Questions before pulling the trigger: Are there going to be any implications related to modem/radio firmware or anything else that would make the ATT N3 simply work better on the ATT system?

I presume we can later flash ATT's ROM base onto the T-Mo? How about the modem/radio?

Thanks.

Yes, those bands were taken straight from the box the note 3 comes in. So unless they lied.....

People have been doing this for a year with the S4. If there were any negative effects we would have heard about it.

And no I would NOT flash any AT&T roms on this phone. The base rom will include stuff like the modem and recovery. You don't want that. If AT&T has their way there won't even be any custom rom's for the ATT Note 3. It will be hard enough to get root without access to a custom recovery. If by some chance in the future there is a hacked up way to flash a rom on the ATT note 3 you wouldn't want to do that to your unlocked note 3 anyway.

There are more than enough ATT users on the T-mobile note 3 to support your flashing habit.

Can ya do a speed test on att and post your city. I am contemplating doing the same thing.
AT&T's LTE isn't all that great here where I am (compared to other places I've used it) but I will gladly put up some speed tests if you can wait a few hours. I work partially underground so no carriers outside of Verizon get any kind of signal here.

This is exactly why I was confused. The Negri site doesn't seem to show all the freqs. My T-Mo box that I have in front of me clearly says it does do the 850 LTE band. I honestly don't think there are any other differences between the ATT & T-Mo radios other than the fact that the T-Mo radio supports more bands out of the box.

I could be wrong on this of course but at the end of the day the T-Mo phone is the one that's bootloader is unlocked.

.
I just tested my wife's S3 in Port Saint Lucie, FL

12 down 6 up.

It makes a bunch of difference when you do the test. If I do it again in later afternoon or evening, it will be half of that.

Aaround 10am-2pm seems to be not bad

Negri website now says it will be available on 10-10-2013. I'm trying to contact customer support to make sure. Already called a local T-Mobile store and confirmed they will sell me one off contract for $740. I don't think i can wait any longer, might pay the additional $50 to buy today.

Boo, T mobile is charging 745$ if you get it on a prepaid plan. That totally stinks. You can only get it at the 708$ price if you buy it on a regular contract. That is before taxes. I just walked out of one of their local stores. Came out to 826$ total with taxes and a prepaid plan and 10$ for the SIM card. Too much I think.

Anyone know what T mobile cancellation policy is if you get a monthly plan and then cancel that? Do you get your money back for that month. Like say I get the 50$ plan and then cancel it. Am I out the 50$???

I went to 2 stores today to check and the first one wouldn't sell me a note 3 unless I got service. The second one was willing to sell me one for $740 plus tax without service. So it really is hit and miss.

Wish I had one near me that would. I went in one and called another and got no love. Negri is going to take too long now that they are not expecting them in till maybe 10/10.

My T-mo store (Brier Creek, Raleigh, NC) required that I activate the phone on a plan even though their internal price sheet showed the price at $708 on-contract and $739 "device only." I opted for a post-paid plan so the cost was $708+10(SIM)+$48(tax)=$766. Unlocking costs $25 (still waiting on the code) so my cost today will be $791. Cost out the door at AT&T would have been $774 assuming I could get out the door without paying an activation or upgrade fee.

I plan to cancel my post-paid line as soon as I get my unlock and have the phone working on AT&T. I don't know if they will pro-rate it down to one day, but if not the billing period I was assigned starts on the 6th so I will only have to pay for three days at the most.

Yeah that sounds like a better way to go than with the prepaid plan like the guy was trying to do with me. I was just reading the TOS for T mobile and it looks like you have 14 days to cancel service where "You remain responsible for all Charges incurred through the date of cancellation. " at least you get the device at a cheaper price. I should have done it that way. I had asked the guy about it there and he was like no that way will cost you more...

Anyone know if you cancel the service will they try to make you give the device back???

I also want to thank people here. I went out and bought the tmobile device, cellunlockered it and it's purring along nicely. I love it! Just need to root it and personalize it now and remove all the bloat.
