There's a 16GB model but it's for other international markets such as Hong Kong

Ahhhh, ok. It seems that those markets would need twice the memory not half the memory!

Thought you guys in this thread may know this as well as anybody.

I'm selling the ATT to get the TMO.

How well does the ATT phone work on other networks? I'd like to know what regions to advertise it in.

Its missing thr important 850mhz LTE band. 850 LTE is very important.

Which one is?

SM-N900T (TMO GN3) has

WCDMA Band 2 1900 MHz (tx and rx)
WCDMA Band 4 1700/2100 MHz (tx/rx)
WCDMA Band 5 850 MHz (tx and rx)
LTE Band 2 1900 MHz (tx and rx)
LTE Band 4 1700/2100 MHz (tx/rx)
LTE Band 5 850 MHz (tx and rx)
LTE Band 17 700 MHz (tx and rx)

The AT&T version (SM-N900A) has WCDMA band 4 disabled in modem and a locked bootloader but otherwise seems identical. WCDMA band 4 isn't used on AT&T but is heavily used by T-Mobile and AT&T is a ***** so they disable it on their Note so that users can't easily take it to TMO. The GN2 could have the TMO radio and NV items flashed to enable WCDMA band 4 but the GN3 is locked so you won't be able to.

And why is LTE band 5 important? No one uses it.

I bought mine full price at a corporate owned T-Mobile store. I'm already on the $30 pre-paid plan and told them that. They said ok and didn't try to verify it. Every store is different I guess.

Read through this whole thread and I wanted to confirm something.

When i was on cellunlocker.net it said that I have to activate before i unlock because of the region lock. Does that mean i have to activate the phone with t-mob or can I just unlock then activate at att?

Thanks

No, you don't have to activate. Also, there isn't a region lock on the 900t only a carrier sim lock. Make sure you select the n900t. The first sim card I put in my phone was the AT&T one. Then I did the unlock.

It's been a while since I was actively involved around these forums (I was when the Galaxy S2 Skyrocket LTE was released for AT&T).

I do remember that AT&T Android updates for the Galaxy S2 took 2432934040 years to come out after the official release... how sooner would we receive updates for the T-Mobile Note 3? I plan on purchasing this version to use on my AT&T unlimited LTE plan.

Thanks to awesome devs on xda, I don't remember ever waiting long to use latest update after it comes out for international versions. You would have to wait for at&t only if you don't want to use any custom roms and such.

I'm very optimistic that soon there will be a workaround for locked BL
