Never mind mate. I used this video to unlock Bootloader (after $15 payment) on Meizu 16th, then wiped phone 'userdata' and installed TWRP. After installing TWRP, boot into TWRP without rebooting the phone otherwise it overwrites the recovery to Meizu's recovery. While in TWRP, format /data to EXT4 then connect phone to computer and transfer the required Mokee ROM/GApps/remove_encrypt files to phone storage and start installing the image files and reboot when done. All files linked in the video on YouTube. I am not Turkish yet I just followed along with the video guide. Very useful:

Meizu 16 and 16x updates

After reading everything in this post and others, I see that there are a lot of troubles with those phones...
I can't make another thread and maybe here is not the best place to ask so sorry by advance if this doesn't belong here.

I just got myself a Meizu 16 (not 16th nor 16x, just 16, global version, model m872h), and I can't find anything about this model... It runs flyme 7.3.0.0G, I just made the OTA update after getting it (it was on 7.1.4.0G).

1) I got GPS fix problems, I can't manage to have a stable fix even outdoor, I would like to know if anybody else faced the same problem with others meizu 16 serie.
2) I see that the global version got no update, but the meizu 16x (chinese version I suppose) got them. On the paper, meizu 16 (global version) and 16x are exactly the same, except for network compatibility. Does someone knows or tried to put meizu 16x update on meizu global phone? If it's just for ROM languages, I don't care at all to have only English and Chinese.

Hi Sukana, many thanks but that is not working for me either. The Dump and modify frp 9008 based method comes back with an Sahara Fail Error in QFIL and for the shell based root is needed, but I cannot root without unlocking the bootloader

This really confuses me... OEM unlocking in developer options? But i thought i had to use the paid method..? Somewhere on 4PDA i read that it does nothing, and i should just pay for the unlock. But why is it here in the first place?
The device is 16, not 16x, and the firmware is 7.3.0.0 RU

Maybe you should first flash the chinese version offical firmware, and gain root permission via Meizu's Chinese official site. Then you can use root to perform the frp based method.
Anyway, you have to gain root first, but to get root permission, you need to unlock or via Meizu's Official site.
You can find it in Settings > Fingerprint,face&security > Root permission.

Alright. It seems that every 16x bought in Russia (or Belarus) only supports RU versions of Flyme, but you can still get A or G versions after unlocking the bootloader.

Also, it seems that unlocking bl barely works on Ryzen based pc's.

I donated to get the unlock files for meizu, with the old method and I'm still waiting. I tried the beta just for curiosity but it is full of bugs and I can't wait to be able to return to global. it seems to me a big lack, not being able to return to a stable version from the beta. I'm stuck in beta with the 16s not even getting phone calls.

Hello, I don't know why you tried the old method. But I'm sorry for that I forget to mention the shortcoming of the old method.And you can downgrade without unlock the bootloader, but maybe you can only use Chinese firmware then. Don't worry, you can try to install google services from meizu store.
Here are the sentences added to the tutorial:
> For devices newer than 16s, such as 16s, 16s pro, 17 and so on. DO NOT use the old method, or your phone will be locked and won't work on Flyme 8. If you already done this, see the [Unbrick tutorial](https://github.com/sukanka/MEIZU16S_unlock_tutorial/wiki/Downgrade-Tutorial) to downgrade!

You can go back to the global rom, just unlock and then flash it via TWRP.

You have to unlock first. I don't think the global rom can be flashed via downgrade tutorial.
