I would try it again. Mine took a little long at 99% too, but then it finished.

What happens if I download the update.zip
Extract it and then copy the UPDATE.APP file and flash it using the three button method?
Will my data be erased?

the instructions were a bit unclear to me.
if it says my device is not verified, can I still register and install the update using eRecovery?

Check step 10 and 11 and try again it will get approved. After that you can install.

I've registered for the update now.
but it's still saying that it's not approved.
so I shouldn't install till it says it's approved ?

If you have registered in DNS network it will definitely show as approved if its not showing like that then you did something wrong.
Try again with the exact steps mentioned in OP.

i have tried but the last update is emui 8 not 9 why? i have last version of emui 8

well I'm sure the DNS is perfectly set because that is not showing the 404. it says something like Connected to TM servers or sth like that.

EDIT: @miststudent2011 You're actually right. I can't get the dns to work when I set it on my router. But it works when I set it on my phone. Any idea why? (I have a D-link dsl 2750u)

This is an advice from me, don't update to pie yet. There are multiple people reporting battery drainage with Android Pie, so wait a bit, until pie is stable enough.

It's perfectly fine it's next iteration of the update. Just change the DNS and follow step 10 and 11 then it will get approved.

I change the DNS using my notebook, restart my router and test accessing the http://query.hicloud.com/checkConnect.action whit sucess. But in my phone using the same wifi that im using in the notebook, it ever show 404. So, when I enter the recovery mode it appears only the EMUI 8 that i already have.
Dont understand what did i wrong.

Hi there.. I followed the steps detailed by you and firmware finder did show approved for installation :- just wanted your feedback (before installing )on how stable EMUI is and do you have any battery issues.... am almost out of the house for close to 16 hours a day and cant afford to have bad battery life..

Also I have the indian variant of Honor 10 - COL-A10 on 8.1.0.150(C675) .. will get it future patches or updates once I update via this method ( i know the answer is mostly yes, but still trying to be sure)
