When your phone is in DFU and nothing seems to work to get EDL to work and connect to 9008.....seems that this tool, once it is installed, running and connected to your phone, you just have to close the program and open MIFLASH to flash your EDL....THAT SIMPLE !

Hereby a quick guide :

1. Download the tool DFU_MultiDL_A2017_tool or from dropbox thnx @Teet1 for his initial upload !
2. Extract the 7z
3. Install the setup.exe (it's in chinese but just follow the '>' and you'll be ok
4. once done, replace the ZTE_Sales_Update_Framework within the program folder on your drive

5.1 Only work with the left button, tap on it and select the first option
5.2 You have to see to which port your phone is connected to, remember that one and choose that one out of the list on 1--USB

This is revolutionary stuff, really! Wish it'd come out before I had to open my phone a a month ago. Now I have some regrettable scuffs around the speaker grills on an otherwise spotless device ?

You can replace the Chinese language files in the tool installation directory with the English files in the same directory.
Replace "\Resource\Locales\ZH_CN\DL_WCDMA.lang" with "\Resource\Locales\US_EN\DL_WCDMA.lang".You'll get a full version of English.

English version update

Replace the lan_CHN.ini in your program folder under bin/languages
(or just change the name 'lan_ENG' into 'lan_CHN' and remove the original lan_CHN.ini)

or use ZTE DFU_MultiDL_A2017 Tool (English Version) - extract and replace all the files to your existing program folder thnx @millerz for his work :good:
(or extract it to your desktop and double tap the ZTE_Sales_Update_Framework.exe - that should work too)

If anyone has the time to change the whole setup.exe file to begin the install-setup in english and change the tool UI in english, feel free to upload it here

Not working for me, unfortunately. My A2017U is DFU. When I run this program, everything looks like it's working. It finds the phone, and then the PC will recognize it as 9008. MiFlash will even flash an EDL package, and say it's a success. But when I reboot the phone, it's still not working. I can still only boot into DFU.

I've tried multiple USB ports, installed the program a couple different ways, and tried 3 or 4 different EDL packages. Any ideas?

EDIT: Mine always says "connect state - disconnected," but it seems to force Windows to recognize the phone as 9008. Coul this be part of the issue?

Not working for me, unfortunately. My A2017U is DFU. When I run this program, everything looks like it's working. It finds the phone, and then the PC will recognize it as 9008. MiFlash will even flash an EDL package, and say it's a success. But when I reboot the phone, it's still not working. I can still only boot into DFU.

As of what I read the main part is working, that is reconnecting 9008 able to flash an EDL. That's the main goal.
The edl flash seems to be successful as I understand so that's strange... Anyway, did you try the @djkuz edl tool and flash an edl out of his range of U-roms?

HAHA I feel you brother. I bricked my axon 7 after barely getting it replaced through ZTE's advanced exchanged. It was perfect condition, but now the speaker grills are ugly on the corners where I tried to remove them. Getting speaker grills on AliExpress though.

Really? Did you find any at all? Please send a link. I have searched a few times (on AliExpress) but to no avail. Closest one I came to was eBay, but the seller doesn't ship to my country.

The edl flash seems to be successful as I understand so that's strange... Anyway, did you try the @djkuz edl tool and flash an edl out of his range of U-roms?

I had been using MiFlash, but I switched over and tried the @djkuz tool. Failed again. The log says it "failed to open com port." Is this a driver issue, or something else? I've reinstalled the qualcomm drivers, but maybe I'm missing some other piece?
