Thanks for your tutorial. I have a question about adding a backround image for the keyboard.Not sure if thread is to old so please respond if you an answer question and ill write it . thanks

So i have the note pro keyboard on my galaxy note 2014 edition and was able to figure out how to theme it following your guide.It is a little different then your guide but im assuming it is cause its a totally diffrent keyboard.Im trying to change the backround to a picture insted of a solid color.Im able to open up the bg.png and change the color but how would i add a picture to it?It looks like a long rectangular box,your example is a square box.Do i need to make the picture the size of the box.For example i think the size of backround box is something like 144x66.So should i convert picture to that size then put it in the place were the box is and take the box out?If im confusing you i can send some screenshots when i get home later.Thanks

Yes screen shots would be helpful.. I think I know where you are going with this. Also is it a .9.png? If so might be trial and error to get the image to look right

Ill do some screenshots tonight when i get home.Im pretty sure its just a bg.png but ill double check.Thanks and i just got to work now so tonight i throw some screenshots up.I appreciate the help.

Ok so I checked it out and one is regular png and one is .9 png.Im assuming the regular one is for portrait and the .9 is for landscape cause its skinny and I know .9 strech out.So do I need to just convert picture to a .9 png and just replace the one that there?Can you point me in a direction of how I can find out to do that? Also is that something easy to do? Thanks and if you still want a screenshot I can do.

Thats not nessacarily true. There should be one for landscape and in "land" folder..

No you can not convert them, that I know of.. So you will have to play with the image a little to make it look right..

Im gonna take a screenshot of them when i get home.I just know the 2 i change the color to changes the color of my backround and neither of them say land in it.Ill be home in a little while and post the shots.Thanks again and appreciate you responding.Im just trying to get my themed keyboards up in my tablet forum so others can start using them and someone asked about the picture for the back round and i remember you had that in your tut.

Does anyone know how to change the swype color? Mine is pink and I would like to make the trace color green. Also on my note 3 samsungIME keyboard there are 3 dots to the right when pressing a letter and they are also pink and would like them changed to green as well.. I can't for the life of me find those 3 dots anywhere.. I thought it was a png and still convinced it is but I've scoured that apk several times and still can't find it. TIA!

Tes three dots are a png.. It's on a "key" though. The swype color is a smali edit.. I know a tutorial is on xda somewhere..

Thank you. I'll find that key for the life of me! I see lots of tutorials on XDA for the keyboard but the text they say to search for isn't there.. There is also a trace folder which would seem more obvious for it to be in but it says to go to the view folder instead. But the file AbstractKeyBoardView .smali doesn't have .method private setTracePaintOptionsWithSettings()V in it anywhere.. I'm thinking it might be for an older keyboard possibly.. I'm so close.. Yet still struggle. Thanks for the reply!
