I would like to thank you the guide was great and was able to upgrade from 4.4.2 straight to version 9, the first time around I don't think one of the files copied across for the ARMv6 which i assume is the CPU driver for android. So installed it without it but then the play store wasn't installed and tried the GMS but that kept failing so then copied the files across manually and reflashed. Possibly i might have just used the bootloader and sideloaded ARMv6 but wanted to give it another go anyway. Works fine now with the google play store. I must admit the device feels a bit slower after doing it and is using more memory i guess that's google managed services running that's slowing down the device but oh well.
At least i can now get later versions of apps and vanced works much, much smoother than on android 4.4.2. Overall it has given new life to my nearly 10 year old tablet.
