You can try, but it has the risk of HARD BRICKING your phone for life...so if i were you, i wouldn't look at it, so much risk for nothing important. Can I use this utility to delete "Exclamation point" when SII starts?
As mentioned in the OP of the cm13 thread of the i9100G, lanchon tool can fix low in space problems, so yes, i believe that lanchon tool will work with your phone, so as this guide, with the changes you referred too of courseDear djibe89,
thank you very much for this brilliant guide, it helps me, to bring the GT-i9100 from a friend to Android 7.1.2 :good:
Is this possible, that I can use this guide also for GT-i9100G and GT-i9105P? I think it's clear, that I must change the recovery, root and the Lineage files with the special files for GT-i9100G and GT-i9105P?
Will your partition files work with this phones?
There is an other solution to remove the yellow triangle, simply flash the old bootloader in my attachment via Odin. But you need a Jig connector with it, to reset the flash counter back to zero (phone must turned off, before you plug in the Jig). I very often used Triangle Away in Android 7.1.1 with my both I9100 (can't count it) without any hard brick. But of course I give no warranty, it's your own risk. Can I use this utility to delete "Exclamation point" when SII starts?
Hello, yes, all right, there is always a risk. Can I use this utility to delete "Exclamation point" when SII starts?
Try using a OTG cable and a flash drive with it, or a sdcard reader..Hello all,
I have followed the tutorial, I succeeded to install TWRP 3.1, and after the reboot, the phone doesn't recognize my external SD card !
So now, I can't go further (repit, ROM...).
Does anyone can help me ?
NB : I have tested many things like reformatting the SD card, in vfat or ext4, everything failed.
Thank you for your help !
You cannot say so. The developers of Lineage ROM (and the derivatives) are fine guys with lots of know how. They sacrifice many hours of their spare time for this work, all free of charge and also have a private life. They can't fix all bugs from today to tomorrow. You have to be patient. Since the beginning of Nougat for the S2 in 2016, many bugs have already been fixed. Of course, the ROM will be always better optimized for daily use. The bugs become fixed bit by bit, but this takes time.I do not know may developers of Lineage or Resurrection Remix are great people. But from my point of view such ROMs seem as kidding only. Sorry.
They are not ready for use as reliable daily drivers. And an appearance of some reports about allegedly happiness and satisfaction with Lineage or Resurrection Remix are high probably fakes or at least unserious claims.
Actually I am encoutering a few problems. I am used to sending apk files from my note 4 to my S2 but now since the memory is only 7,56 MB naturally the S2 won't recieve it. Also opening apk's in a rar file on my ext. card has become a problem as the unzipping is aborted due to low space on the sd card. Is there are work around for this?
For larger system partition repit, just rename the pit file (.zip) and change system-1G* to system-XG* (X = 3 or whatever you need).
For your recovery not showing, it seems you forgot to wipe cache before rebooting. Or maybe a kernel bug.
Use Odin and phone in Download mode to flash TWRP 3.02 i9100.tar (find tuto). If it still doesnt work, flash a CM13 kernel then Twrp still using Odin.
Keep in touch.
If you can find a stock S2, i'll buy it so i can check my tutorial is fine.
