Thanks mate!! One more question, from the Downloaded Apps under the Internal storage, I'm currently left with 802MB used and 1.2GB free, is there anyway I can increase the Downloaded capacity from the current 1.2GB into let said 8GB?

That is highly impossible. If you do that it will mess up the system i guess. However there is no such tricks as of now. Maybe in future if we get i will update.

Hello! I have a GS4 with 32gb sd card which i want to swap with my internal memory. I am a complete noob and this is my first Android device. So, could you explain how to do this part "Make sure you have mounted to R/W before pasting the file"? Thanks in advance!

The default internal apps storage for note 1 was set to 2Gb only, if you are able to increase the internal apps storage it will be good.

here is your answer, but very risky i guess. do you really need it ?? can move apps to sd card.
The only way to do that may be to manually modify the DATAFS partition using a custom PIT file.

Mate, this is only for Galaxy Note 1. Do not try on your GS4.
Mounting R/W means giving some kinda permission to copy or paste files into system memory.
In ROOT EXPLORER app you can find it.

Please ask your dev's @ your forum, they will help you.

I'm OK as I just got the Nexus 7 2013 version, so most of the games will be put into Nexus 7 for my kids to play around. My current note 1 only installed with apps w/o games, and I'm happy with it right now. Thanks!

So this is to swap internal to be external? Or external to be internal? Coz i prefer external sdcard to be the main storage

Hi, I would like to ask if there is the possibility to increase the application partition in the internal memory from 2GB to lets say 4GB or 6GB ( I don't mind formatting the whole internal memory).

I have a 64GB micro sd card, which I use for storage (photos, videos, maps, etc.) and I do not want the two storages swapped, just the internal memory re-partitioned so there would be more space for applications. I hate the insufficient memory warnings I get when trying to update an application.

Please let me know if that would be possible.

Link2sd and no storage problem ever. And after updates check in link2sd if the updated app is 'encrypted' in yellow colours. then go to actions, move to phone and then move to sd card. also you should swamp, its better to have a fast 64gb internal class 10 card.

Thanks @karapoutsoglou, for your advice. I used to use link2sd in other devices with limited onboard memory like my HTC HD2, nevertheless I find it unjustifiable to have to use it when the internal memory is 16GB, even though 5 is reserved for the OS. I have seen my sister's Galaxy S3 and it shows 10GB available for applications. Why can't we have the same thing? I don't see the point of limiting the application partition to only 2GB, unless it's to make users believe that they need an upgrade (a new phone) when in fact they don't.

As for the swap, I do have a class 10 SanDisk Ultra microSDHC 64GB on the device, however it's nice to have the OS and your storage separated whenever possible. If I can't find a another way I'll have to swap them even though I wanted to avoid that solution at almost all cost.

Thanks once again.

This is for Galaxy Note 1 ONLY. If you do as i said, your memory card will be internal memory and your internal memory (16gb) will be external.
hope you got what you wanted.

I am still finding an answer that. But no luck. may be impossible.

Just 1 problem i found after swap...camera app sometime just can open but the menu is empty and cant take picture...the workaround is, install 3rd party camera and open it first then open stock camera it will be fine...

@chandrus1983 thank you for trying, and also for your guide on how to swap ext and int memory. I might be doing that after all :) (as we have no other choice).
I had tried some of the tricks to change the system memory(2gb) and swapping with internal memory(16gb), unfortunately didn't work. I didn't wanted to continue i might put my phone into risk. I will keep looking for that think. If i am successful i will update the thread.

I can assure you that the camera issue will be coming with swap. It has nothing to do with system files. all we did is swapping memory internal to external and ext to int.
we did not touch system at all. That must be the issue with your ROM. No one including me has that issue or faced that issue.
