I have already tried this . Waiting a month or so in between hoping that sooner or later Motorla would eventually provide the unlock code. No such luck. But thank you for your reply.UnLocking and ReLocking Motorola Bootloader

Moto devices must have the bootloader unlocked, if you want twrp or root.I have also read an article suggested to install TWRP and that the bootloader doesnt have to be unlocked in order to do it. Therefore , enabling root like capabilities Any thoughts on this?

SeeI'm new to Motorola but not to rooting in general. OEM unlocking is not greyed out but it was for a few days. I enabled it but still can't unlock the Bootloader with the Motorola website. My issue is I'm on Verizon. Is there any hope? I have Motorola Edge (2021)
Thanks, I have looked at that and I can't get the bootloader unlocked officially . I was wondering if there is any chance of getting it unlocked any other way unofficially? Or if I should not even bother trying ever?

What does getvar all say?I have a Motorola e6s phone and the command to unlock the bootloader or the command to get the CID doesn't work for me but the fastboot device command does work.
What can I do?

Hello there all,
I am currently trying to unlock the bootloader on my Moto G Power (2021) with software channel Fi. I purchased it from Google Fi and received it yesterday (3/27). I followed the instructions in the official bootloader unlock page and received my unlock code. I am currently stuck on enabling the "OEM Unlock" option in Developer Settings. Right now it is grayed out, I am aware that users who have had that problem are saying that one has to wait a couple of days before the option becomes available. I checked with Motorola and they are saying that since I ordered the Fi Version of this phone that it probably is not possible. I checked my CID in fastboot and got 0x0032 which, according to the list that is on this thread, is a CID that is unlockable. Essentially I am not sure if it is possible to unlock the bootloader on this device due to the OEM Unlock option being grayed, I would like to know if I either have to wait a couple of days or if it actually is not possible due to it being the Fi version.
Thank You.
While you can flash other software channels, that does not change the persist partition.Hi,
I'm using edge s pro with edge 20 pro firmware.
When I flashed RRA31.Q3-19-86, I successfully OEM locked with it, but after I flashed RRAS31.Q3-19-86-6, I can only do flashing_locked.
Does OEM locking availability depend on firmware? Or am I missing something?
Also I'm thing of revert flashing RRA31.Q3-19-86. Is it risky for future OTA?
Thanks in advance!

- https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79305396&postcount=12I saw the same thing on my end at first. Found this to work repeatedly....
fastboot oem lock (enter this a few times until i says something to the effect of...."you still need to flash a signed boot.img")
fastboot flash boot boot.img (this will now flash fine without saying the image is not signed)
fastboot oem lock (if you prefer to re-lock. You'll need the unlock key again if you plan to unlock).
- https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79300655&postcount=2Head on over to https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds101291 and download the tool, after installed put your phone in bootloader/fastboot mode and go through the rescue steps up until the firmware is downloaded, do not click rescue after the firmware is fully downloaded just head on over to C:\ProgramData\LMSA\Download\RomFiles and open the downloaded firmware and take the boot image from there and copy it to your fastboot tools folder and flash that boot.img check that the firmware matches the version installed on your phone before flashing the boot.img.
flash either stock or a stock-based rom along with Magisk and enable OEM unlock in the dev options and the you should be able to re-lock.
Magisk Hide must be enabled. Only this option hides the unlocked bootloader which results in an active toggle for the OEM Unlock option.
