Thats really terrible for you US Users ;-(
I don't understand, why they give us European users the Chance to do it the easy way and you must use the miflash tool for it.

They don't give us G guys the easy way out either. They got rid of fastboot on N B01 and you had to install it via TWRP with ADB (push an aboot.img and fbop.img to the system) to get it again.
The fastboot package is basically the same but without chance that you may botch a command

I flashed the unlocked bootloader files and turned my phone on.
When I enter my pin code it doesn't unlock.
It's a US verson Axon 7.
Is this a thing? Is there a default pin code that gets pushed to the phone?

Why has nobody answered with the password to this? When you do this, your phone's pin gets reset to something unknown and you can't proceed.
I'll throw a bone to help out anyone who got into the same problem as I did.

If you're stuck on a lock screen after flashing your phone and don't have the password (you shouldn't have the password) do the following:
1. Reboot holding Vol. Up and Power at the same time
2. Go into fastboot from here manually
3. Run the fastboot oem unlock-go command

Or you can do something much easier which is get into TWRP and delete the lockscreen password files under data/system. Just saying :p

If you're first setting up your device to be unlocked and rooted, chances are you probably don't have TWRP installed yet so just have stock to deal with. If you have TWRP, then yea this would be your bet. It still doesn't change the fact that this issue was never addressed, and I question why there was even an encryption password added to this in the first place. Feels like a weird oversight.

I just got my device and was doing this quickly. Not my first rodeo with unlocking a bootloader or anything, I was just a little peeved when I bumped into this wall and even though it was easy to bypass I knew that some people following the guide may get frustrated at that part.

1. Plug it between steps 4 and 5.
2. You need to open a Powershell window and type there. Remember you have to press ENTER key after the command line.

---------- Post added at 08:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:50 PM ----------

In bootloader its says "Failed remote oem unlocking not allowed after I run the oem unlock command. Help please. I just got this phone hours ago.

---------- Post added at 08:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:07 PM ----------

I tried to flash twrp in fastboot..failed as well..remote flashing not allowed.

---------- Post added at 08:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:19 PM ----------

Had to factory reset to come out of it. If this is the easy way I guess I'll try the hard way.

Stuck on step 9

I am unable to boot my device after flashing. Pressing the power button causes a quick vibration an the device turns off. I have pressed it for 3 mins and it does not boot. Any suggestions as to why this could have happened and how to fix? Thanks

hiya, i'm having this exact problem.
Please help me.
I didn't see the options you say in step 2, It booted to 'android recover' . I then selected 'reboot to bootloader' and that did nothing, just took me to another screen where i could either start, enter recovery screen again, or reboot.
I then went back to recovery screen, tried to select 'apply update from ADB', then connected phone to PC.
The phone is now stuck on this 'now send the package you want to apply to the device with 'adb sideload ,filename;

What do i do!!!!!!! The phone is stuck here!
What do i send to it, and how??? I can't use my phone!

OK after a very long press, I'm now back to square 1 - stuck on this screen pattern thing.
What do i do when i reboot back into 'android recovery' screen??

The original posters guide is honestly ...The worst guide., ever made.

EDIT. i've given up. done a factory reset. i'm going to follow another guide on youtube. christ.
