So long as you can or did unlock the bootloader, yes.Can a pixel 2 XL already on Android 10 still be rooted?
The pixel 2 XL is already on Android 10 and the bootloader is locked, also the phone has never been rooted. If it is still possible to root and possibly unlock bootloader, kindly recommend the right tool to useSo long as you can or did unlock the bootloader, yes.

Everything you need - information and tools - is in the first post. The instructions however have changed slightly in that you no longer need to execute the unlock critical command to fully unlock the device. Note that if your device is a Verizon P2XL you will NOT be able to unlock the bootloader. The pixel 2 XL is already on Android 10 and the bootloader is locked, also the phone has never been rooted. Install latest platform tools/adb and fastboot on your computer
Connect your phone to your computer
Toggle OEM unlocking and adb in developer settings. Allow when the prompt comes up on your phone. Sometimes if you type
adb devices
in terminal it activates this as well
Boot to fastboot then type in terminal
Fastboot flashing unlock
This will wipe your data but your bootloader will now be unlocked
Not hard to unlock but, instead, impossible.Sadly, P2XL from Verizon hard to unlock bootloader. I want fallback to Android 10, flashing factory image without unlock bootloader impossible.
When did Yoda get here? :laugh:Not hard to unlock but, instead, impossible.
Easy method: Simply opt-out from the Beta on the dedicated Android 11 Beta website and your device will be returned to Android 10.Sadly, P2XL from Verizon hard to unlock bootloader. I want fallback to Android 10, flashing factory image without unlock bootloader impossible.

It doesn't work on the Pixel 2 XL. ANYONE posting that link isn't reading it clearly, as it ONLY applies to the OG Pixels, which can be unlocked.
With same metode. ?It doesn't work on the Pixel 2 XL. ANYONE posting that link isn't reading it clearly, as it ONLY applies to the OG Pixels, which can be unlocked.
The bootloader on the Verizon P2XL is locked down tighter than a drum. It cannot be unlocked using any known method for the OG Pixel, in part due to the P2XL's security hardware, which the OG Pixel does not have. With same metode. ?
You can just flash the stock OTA with TWRP and I wouldn't worry about locking your bootloader.Urgent question everyone ... I might need to return my phone for repair as my battery is not charging at all ...
I have like 60% left but I cannot connect the phone to the laptop to flash stock and re-lock the bootloader ...
Any ideas how I can at least flash stock using TWRP ?
If there is a chance for adb commands w/o connecting to the laptop that would be great also ..
Same here.I flashed Android 11 and tried to flash Magisk using the latest Canary but it's causing bootloops. Anybody has similar experience or any solutions? Should I just wait for a newer release?

Did you uninstall/disable all modules before you patched your A11 boot.img with canary Magisk Manager version (297) and before installing the A11 factory image via fastboot??Same here.
