To be clear - are you flashing a Global ROM on the Verizon OP8 5G UW?I'm back to Verizon, just when me flashing other rom,my sim card don't work,my flashing oos10 global(fastboot rom)to Europe, local update to hydrogen OST
yes,unlock boot loader,flashing fastboot rom(global),update to Europe,update hydrogen OS
I also tried to replace the modem.img in the fastboot ROM, but the phone will freeze and no signalTo be clear - are you flashing a Global ROM on the Verizon OP8 5G UW?
Unfortunately, you will 'fall into the rabbit hole' of having either OOS issues or potentially bricking your device. The Verizon OP8 5G UW is very finicky of which type of ROM you decide to flash on it and what will actually stick due to hardware changes within the device.

Not to beat a dead horse - your best bet is to sell your device and pick up the latest and greatest OP that is not bound by any carrier.my phone usud msmdownloadtool back Verizon oos,No problem so far,i just want fix signal error

Unfortunately, you would have to use the MSM Tool and start from Android 10 and start from scratch because the MSM Tool for Android 11 is causing issues for some folks. How do I get back on IN2019 with bootloader still unlocked? After unlock my phone is on IN2020 and can’t get security updates. Now the phone is stuck on dec 2020 security patch but was on a 2022 patch before unlock. I also tried flashing the stock Verizon firmware but get a model mismatch.

Re-download and re-install all of
So I should flash android 10, unlock boot, then update to 11? Thank you by the way, much appreciated.
Seems like a lot more work than it's worth to repartition.Figured that much, thanks for verifying. Would you happen to know about freeing up storage on these phones? Android 11 is using 22gb of system. I read android 11 is supposed to use more because of the 2 slots. Would I beable to format slot A and extend it to slot B and gain more storage or does android 11 need the second slot? Figure these are computers, so like in Ubuntu you can created multiple partition or one partition. Sorry for all the questions just switched from iPhone so trying to make sense of the new android lol. Had a Sam s8+ and note back in the day but it seems a lot has changed since android 9.
After reading your post and findings - it almost seems impossible to totally brick as long as you have a working version of MSM and utilizing the correct key combo.Fixed- Though may want to add it to the notes and additions section.
If you flash the unlock ops incorrectly it will break the bootloader.
I was able to do this whole process successfully on windows 11 with USB 3.0 using the ADB EDL command
Though after bricking the device I could not get into edl mode (assuming USB 3.0 takes to long to register the device not triggering edl mode with using the vol= & vol- keys).
So if you brick the boot loader please make sure you use USB 2 and the key combo to get into edl then you can flash the stock.ops.
After flashing the stock ops I had to go back to USB 3.0 as I was getting a communication issue to install "instantnoodlev_15_O.01_210110.ops"
Hope this helps if someone has the same issue as I.
lol, somehow I have cell data. The first time I flashed I did not but I think I used MSM for the entire process and do now.
adb devices
and makes sure your device appears in the list.adb reboot edl
and wait. Your phone should disconnect from the computer and then reconnect.fastboot devices
and ensure your device is in the list.fastboot flashing unlock
and on your phone, it should prompt you to confirm unlocking the bootloader. Once complete, it should reboot into Android.Right click the link and open in new window, than refresh the blank page it opens. That will trigger the download.
It worked for me. It was straightforward, and it was really easy to figure out. I kept getting an error during the parameter update when I used the included firmware, so I just flashed the Unlock.ops file and carried on. I had a dumb moment bc I didnt actually read it fully at first, so I freaked out and thought that I'd bricked it lmao. But all in all, it was good man. Good instructions, and you gave examples that helped me out when I was confused. Good job! Well worth the waitDid you follow the guide while unlocking your bootloader and if so, do you have any feedback for the guide? This is my first guide so I just wanted to hear any potential criticism.
Yes. As long as your device is unlocked (60 days after initial purchase from Verizon) then it will work with any SIM.Can we use with another Sim when flashed custom Rom?? Anyone know??
