No, it didn't. Im still stuck on bootloader being locked and can't execute this step - "Fastboot oem unlock". If you try to do this, it responds with the following error's - GetVar, Too many links, No Such File Or Directory Found.Someone in the v35 forum said this method would work for us. Is this true? Has anyone tried it on the v35?

@SuperMike393 - I had this again and again, it looks like you just need to be really quick, it seems/feels to a be a timeout thing. When you get into EDL mode, you need to have QFIL ready to go and when you see it appear in Window's Device Manager quickly try loading up QFIL's Partition Manager. I didn't always manage it still, but had greater success by being as quick as possible. Good luck with itUPDATE: Ive been able to get into EDL mode but like some other users here im getting Download Fail:Sahara Fail:QSaharaServer Failrocess fail when im going to partition manager. nothing else shows up or anything
yeah haha about that... i managed to get into EDL fine but now ive managed to jack up the USB driver. ive made a post detailing it out in the Questions & Answers forum@SuperMike393 - I had this again and again, it looks like you just need to be really quick, it seems/feels to a be a timeout thing. After many hours, I was able to get it working by removing QPST and qualcomm drivers. Downloaded the lastest QPST from here: https://qpsttool.com/qpst-tool-v2-7-480. And install the drivers and QPST from that zip file. Worked fine after that.Hey, having a pretty rough time with this. I was able to get as far as flashing oreo but now Im trying to get into fastboot mode but verizon seems to have disabled access to it. Anyone experiencing this?

Thanks. Im a bit confused on how to use QPST though. Was there a guide you used? I just want to get this right before I bricked a second time. After many hours, I was able to get it working by removing QPST and qualcomm drivers. Just use the guide at the beginning of the thread. QFIL is included in the QPST install package. Hold Power and Volume down for 15+ seconds to get out of EDL mode.Thanks. *Additional. Is there a set way to get out of EDL mode without having to drain the battery? I was stuck in EDL for a while.
I could not get the files rawprogram0.xml . PleaseCrap, I completely forgot an important detail. If you are using 9008 mode for the first time, you'll need to update the driver in Device Manager. Then select the port. My fault, I'll update that now.
It should say: Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
It should be pretty quick, in my experience. Any time it took more than a few seconds it would usually fail with the Sahara error. From the moment Windows Device Manager registers the device, try to have QFIL loaded and ready to go. That said, I still found it wouldn't connect all the time, and had to keep at it, although I put this down to largely trying to do things through a Virtual Machine running Windows 8.1When you click partition manager is it supposed to load for a while or should it be instantaneous?
In the guide it shows him with rawprogram0.xml should I have that from somewhere?
This is not needed - please ignore this part of the image in the guide. @Xsavi did a good job of revamping the guide, if they have a bit more energy maybe they could just put a white box over that part of the image to save others confusion too. Thank youI could not get the files rawprogram0.xml . Please
I'm sorry. But I couldn't find any firmware version similar to the firmware version of my current to get the files rawprogram0.xml . If you know about it please help me. Thanks for being patient with me and guiding me through, i appreciate it. I've just tried this on a separate win 10 laptop (with updated everything) and im still getting sahara. What does this error come from (9008 usb driver, the phone itself, QFIL, etc). I am trying to figure out why this is happening when most other people didnt seem to have nearly as difficult time as I am right now. For clarification does it matter that I flashed oreo to my device? The guide said if the device doesnt have OEM then you need to flash v35 engineering bootloader and to have engineering bootloader i need to be on oreo. The version i got is 8.1.0. Again thanks. It should be pretty quick, in my experience. Any time it took more than a few seconds it would usually fail with the Sahara error.
