There is no cricket bloatware on this. The userdata is simply to get volte working. The only thing cricket that pops up is the splash screen when you turn the phone on.Do I have to install USERATA I don't want the cricket bloatware

I just saw the update myself. I'll work on getting this updated. I don't know about the not wiping. But I do know some people on another thread show how to get volte working without a wipe. I'll look into it and get back to you.I currently have a S8 with the latest 950U1 firmware. My settings show:
Model number: SM-G950U1
Build: G950U1UES5CRF5
I'm using Cricket. Is there any way for me to get volte working without having to wipe my phone?
What I can say is use smart switch to backup your phone. Then just odin flash the userdata file inside the files I'm uploading.I currently have a S8 with the latest 950U1 firmware. My settings show:

Gimme a little bit and I can upload the non home csc. What I did was flash the firmware and home csc all at one time. But my tutorial doesn't do that just encase. That's exactly why I use the unlocked firmware also to have that hotspot. If you give me just a little but I can upload the non home csc.downloaded the CRF5 from google link from OP and its missing the non-HOME CSC file.
I flashed the included HOME-CSC and it fails to flash USERDATA afterwards and booting the phone results in a bunch of crashed messages and its a total mess.
What is my best option to get back to clean unlocked Oreo, preferably latest build.
My main intention is to use tethering with unlimited data plan.
Thank you. Will wait for your upload, but also can you share the instructions on what I should do from here? Start all over?Gimme a little bit and I can upload the non home csc. What did it say when trying to flash the userdata file?
It will have some error messages after you flash tho, it'll go to like 32% and then say error. Then it'll not to the screen where you can erase, factory reset, etc. Just click reboot system.
What I would do is get into the recover menu. Then factory reset. Then try flashing again. This time though instead of fishing the firmware, rebooting and then flashing userdata, try ding the userdata file and the firmware files all together at the same time. It shouldn't fail which is why I'm kinda confused. With the modded odin it forces it to pass as it doesnt verify.Thank you. Regarding my current state, the phone boots up but the launcher keeps crashing with the following message "Samsung Experience Home keeps stopping", with x close app as the only option. I can't see my home screen icons, or get to the app tray. Also, currently have xfinity mobile sim and it doesn't seem to connect to network. In notifications panel, I see "Sprint OMADM" entry saying "Checking device status.."
Regarding flashing USERDATA, it ended up with Fail! and log said something about not authorized. Maybe due to CSC ?
I see the following error in phone in red when trying to flash USERDATA : "SW REV CHECK FAIL : [userdata]Fused 5 > Binary 3"Thank you. Will wait for your upload, but also can you share the instructions on what I should do from here? Start all over?

thanks for the help. I am trying to use Xfinity Mobile SIM, but with this update, it appears that the bootloader version got updated to V5 and the instructions to change the carrier code to reflect XFinity only has V2 factory binary. Also trying to update to latest Xfinity ROM is also a no go as it has bootloader v4. Smart Swith doesn't seem to work anymore to restore to older version. Are you on a sprint phone?
Edit::
Glad you got the guide to work. Now to get your sprint thing working.
That I cannot tell you how to do as I have never downgraded before. There is another thread about csc change you might head to that one. They are a little more knowledgeable on those things then I am.thanks for the help. What can I do to get back to bootloader v1 or v2?
I am assuming the 4th digit after G950U1 in baseband is the bootloader version. It seems to match with the error I see on device when ODIN fails with Auth Error.
Just an update. That I cannot tell you how to do as I have never downgraded before. There is another thread about csc change you might head to that one. They are a little more knowledgeable on those things then I am.
The att tethering won't work as it's provisioned for Verizon. I think they check in order to use the hotspot.Just an update.
I installed the latest v5 oreo rom from Verizon for SM-G950U instead of SM-G950U1 and now Xfinity works fine, but att tethering with unlimited data plan doesn't![]()
I'm in the hospital with my wife having a baby. So it'll likely be a few days Before I can do anything.can you give me a link to the re2 unlocked firmware and if you have it the combo file? I am on re2 right now but am frp locked and I need to unlock frp then unlock phone then change the csc over to my carrier.... I am on ATT right now I think... v3 bootloader... and I know v3 is like extremely locked down but I am unsure as to wether or not I should go to v4 or v5 I do not want cricket at all.... I need boost tmobile or metro so if that changes things let me know.. but the re2 firmware will at least allow me to have the balls to flash some stuff and know I can recover.... thanks in advance...
