Never, but I did notice that even without the userdata I have volte working after I flashed the firmware.
Will Bootloader 2 userdata flash on a Bootloader 5 ROM? Is that why you were unable to flash?
That's correct, I used a meet userdata file though to flash and I'm good. I still have volte working.
Update with files and updated userdata for firmware CSB2 will be coming soon. I have confirmed everything works including wifi calling. At least for me.
Post now has been updated with the proper files for the csb2 update working with cricket wireless. on side note, wifi callingseems to not be working. you can turn it on in the settings but besides that it doesnt work. Volte is working still though.

Instructions still the same? Flash everything but userdata, restart after welcome then flash userdata?
Correct, exactly the same. I have volte and even have the option to turn on Wi-Fi calling now. Which I didn't before.
I have the option too but when I try to make a call with either it or volte turned on my call fails.
What do you mean? So what your saying is whenever you call someone it won't initiate the phone call with Wi-Fi calling?
Or with volte, it just says call failed. I can't get it to flash either, says error but doesn't say what the error is.
Edit: I finally got it to reflash but same results. Calling with volte or wifi calling on just hits call ended screen immediately.

Same thing except my signal is -110. Also shows ims registration status as registered on the page previous. I'll try to get a logcat in a few minutes.
If either enhanced LTE services or WiFi calling are enabled the call fails and jumps straight to the end screen just like I hung up a call. If it turn both of them off then the call goes through.

Looks like your not the only one. I've looked it up and seems to be an issue on the s8 with those features. There are multiple answers but the consensus is that you have to turn then off into a patch is released. Might be able too just factory reset but that doesn't seem to help many people.
By chance where did you get this firmware

no ims registered And if I switch lte only no calls can be made
I bought the firmware for like $3/4. I can't remember which site but I'll check tomorrow. It had the userdata inside that zip file.
I got it straightened out. I didn't have Abit 6 user data. It's throwing me off. Apparently only u1 has cricket csc. Not u model
