Unlocking a password on a broken sceen Samsung Note 2

Hello

I have a Samsung Note 2 that has a broken screen, and i want to use the steps you have provided to unlock the password and retrieve the information from the Device VIA Kies 3 is that Possible on this kind of Phone ?
I want to back up the information on the phone before i have the whole screen fixed.
Another Question: Will repairing the Whole screen loose me the files on the phone ?

privacy Password does not let you pass over main screen...how can you connect your device ?you need to confirm that..it"s not possible on my device...

My cousin is living in another country and he sent me this BLU DASH 5.0 D410i.
He told me that if I can figure out how to by pass the password screen "please enter the privacy protection password to unlock"
then I can have the phone as my own. I've tried your method. After I installed the ADB-driver it doesn't detect my phone so I tried going into
recovery mode (Power + Volume key) I chose "apply update from ADB" and finally "Adb Driver Installer" recognized my phone...so I proceed and install the driver...it went successfully and I pressed "exit". Next I turned on my phone and again it went to the screen that has the password lock with this message "please enter the privacy protection password to unlock" in the "Android Multi Tools v1.02b" folder I open the program and pressed 1 but still not recognizing my phone also pressed 2 and the other numbers and nothing happened only this message is showing "press any key to continue"

Sometimes it shows these messages:
*daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
*daemon started successfully *
List of devices attached

Press any key to continue...


-Am I doing something wrong, am I missing a step, do I need to install anything else?

*note: I never had the chance to see the phone before the password problem occurs...but I made contact with my cousin and he said "usb debugging" is NOT turned on. will that be a problem?

what if my phone is not rooted?.. i cannot access the root using "su" command. Please help

Let me help alot of people, i figured out that the security code is at least 6 digits so in most cases if you ever filled it in . What would be your first guess if you type 6 numers in?

In my case it was my birthday 230484 and indeed it worked!

So think about a 6 number password!

Yes, usb Debugging Is Required.
Without It The Tool Can't Work
Your Only Way Now Is To Hard Reset And Lose All Data

You can flash a modified boot.img to enable USB debugging just by changing the ro.adb.debugable=0 to 1

Whoever you are you just saved my day. Forgot my privacy password completely and you jogged my memory. I just figured it out. Plus our birthdays are almost on the same day with same month and year. Mine is 250484. What an irony. Thanks again though

I would recommend installing java if you are having difficulties.

So I unpacked the tool as you instructed then launched ADBDriverInstaller.

Am I supposed to see a device listed in ADBDriverInstaller?

Anyway, I launched Android Multi Tools, selected 3. It shows the following:
*daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
*daemon started successfully *

But I got nothing listed.

I don't think this phone is rooted or has ADB Deugging Enabled how do I bypass Gesture or Pin?

In my case.....i had removed my sim and then switched my phone on and after starting the phone it is asking for privacy protection password.......what should i do......Even i tried the hard reset but it did'nt worked.....please help me..
