I added the Mate 20 Pro line manually because neither LYA-L09 nor LYA-L29 were present...Replace L09 with L29?
An update for you.I read through quite a few post here to get everything sorted out and in order to save every one some time here is a summary of all the info I have gathered so far, and my way to thank the forum for offering me so many helpful tips. I'll try to keep this thread updated as information comes in.
what is the preload software?I've just noticed, my phone has no preload software on it. Would this affect software updates from Huawei?

Oh man, that would suck if the window has snapped shut on unlock codes. Let's hope that FH has someone working inside Huawei that can supply them with more. Is there any hope of any kind that an outside party could come up with a way to unlock the bootloader? Or is it heavily encrypted based on individual EMEI?I assume all options of unlock went nowhere? What happened? Still any sources of unlock keys? Update: Bootloader unlock services were using indian service centers for getting unlock codes, and Huawei stopped this in January. Atm there's no publically available method to get unlock of bootloader. Source - xda, google
Considering that Huawei itself fights with it, it doesn't seem promising so far. Basically all this time all the unlocks were coming from Huawei (maybe indirectly but well). Is there any hope of any kind that an outside party could come up with a way to unlock the bootloader?
Yep, its tied on IMEI. The unlock key is 1024 RSA, so bruteforce will take significant time.Or is it heavily encrypted based on individual EMEI?
Yes, we're doomedMinistry of Solutions changed placeholder for order, now its "Service is not working anymore"
I guess we're doomed
I don't understand this. If you got root why do you need to boot into recovery? In future you will need to boot into recovery each time to maintain root
to say it as simple as possible. The root is on the recovery_ramdisk. So you have to boot to recovery to boot the rootI don't understand this. If you got root why do you need to boot into recovery?
So if I have to use root every time it is necessary to boot to recovery first?to say it as simple as possible. The root is on the recovery_ramdisk. So you have to boot to recovery to boot the rootIn fact you will see no recovery, because it boots straight to the system, but that step is necessary
Yes. That's what they said "you will not see recovery but step is necessary"So if I have to use root every time it is necessary to boot to recovery first?
They're back for $127 lolYes, we're doomed
F*ck Huawei
