I read through quite a few post here to get everything sorted out and in order to save every one some time here is a summary of all the info I have gathered so far, and my way to thank the forum for offering me so many helpful tips. I'll try to keep this thread updated as information comes in.
An update for you.

Funky Huawei had increased their price to 99$ and currently doesn't offer it at all.
Even with the unlimited pass.

I had placed an order for the unlimited pass on 11th January.
Still didn't get anything.

They seem to have problems.

Ministry of solutions only supported the Chinese model but that service is down as well.

I assume all options of unlock went nowhere? What happened? Still any sources of unlock keys?

Update: Bootloader unlock services were using indian service centers for getting unlock codes, and Huawei stopped this in January. Atm there's no publically available method to get unlock of bootloader. Source - xda, google

Oh man, that would suck if the window has snapped shut on unlock codes. Let's hope that FH has someone working inside Huawei that can supply them with more. Is there any hope of any kind that an outside party could come up with a way to unlock the bootloader? Or is it heavily encrypted based on individual EMEI?

Ironic this BL-thing....

Here I am skippin out of ios for the first time after 12 years of use. Each year we got jailbreak and my device was free at last.
Jailbreak scene in iOS has proved more difficult in the later OS releases.

Then i finally bought my first Android device ever because android can easilly get rooted for own manipulation..
But when i finally get the Mate 20 Pro and i have read the internet upside down for information about, BL, FRP, TWRP, Unofficial , Official update, Magisk +++ to se how all off this is put together, there is no BL codes as of last summer. When i try to buy nobody is offering any more.

I am currently stuck with 9.0.0.153 (OEM Unlock greyed out). (Updating routines from Huawei seems like **** compared to iOS )
Still got no updates from Huawei even tough the software 9.0.0.18X is out there on several devices over the place called earth.
I got the C432 - european version. I have got no clue if i can relock( if i get unlocked) or put the phone back to its original state if i decide to sell the phone.

I really hope that i could get my hands on a BL code, and get officially up to a software that has the option for OEM Unlock.
I must say i am very happy with my device! It i working flawlessly!! Rooting is the only thing missing as i need this permission to custumize my unit.

Have a good one all.......
Regards, Norway.....

Considering that Huawei itself fights with it, it doesn't seem promising so far. Basically all this time all the unlocks were coming from Huawei (maybe indirectly but well).
The only thing we can try hope for.... is if somebody find some exploit to read unlock key or bypass it, but its very low chance... by the time people find it we may buy new phone afterall
Or is it heavily encrypted based on individual EMEI?
Yep, its tied on IMEI. The unlock key is 1024 RSA, so bruteforce will take significant time.

F*ck Hawei!! I just ordered my P20 Pro about a week ago. And now BL unlock is not available anymore?! This whole root topic is getting so frustrating. What is the problem to allow BL unlock and root? It does not hurt the manufactors at all....

I don't understand this. If you got root why do you need to boot into recovery?
to say it as simple as possible. The root is on the recovery_ramdisk. So you have to boot to recovery to boot the root ;) In fact you will see no recovery, because it boots straight to the system, but that step is necessary

So if I have to use root every time it is necessary to boot to recovery first?
