I've unlocked my phone using FastGSM as well using the testpoint method. Their software (which includes s1tool) unlocked the bootloader as well. I had to make sure that I installed the ZEUS Flash Device drivers or the software would not work.

Take note that the testpoint method will not work for phones manufactured on or after week 11 in 2012 (12W11).

FastGSM's webpage for the Xperia Ray is here: http://www.fastgsm.com/en/sonyericsson/se/xperia-ray/unlock-network/network-unlock/flashing-debrand

I feel for you bro. Perhaps, you can replace the phone's mainboard with one compatible with the testpoint method? It might be prohibitively expensive but just a thought.

I'll update my post to include the date of manufacture restriction.

Hi, my phone is a carrier (Telus in Canada) branded St18a, with 11W44 under the battery. How will this method work for me? Sorry if I'm asking an obvious question, I just want to be sure before I pay 15 dollars.

The methods posted by myself and the OP will work for your phone. For the record, I phone was also a TELUS branded Xperia Ray ST18a with 11W42 on the internal label. It is now unbranded though.

I have a question. It's saying Live with Walkman phones manufactured on and after 12W11 are not supported. Does it means that it won't unlock bootloader or... And if so could I unlock it jusing some other method after debranding?

Unfortunately, there's still no love for Xperia TX owners with "Boatloader unlock allowed: no" :(

Wotanserver doesn't support the TX so I'm back to square zero.

Edit: Also just noticed, my phone is 12w47... FML! #firstworldproblems

Should I first SIM unlock my phone with number that carrier provides me (when my contract ends, I can get for free my unlock SIM number)? If I unlock SIM with that number, than should write Unlocking Bootloader with Unlock Allowed:YES! -is that correct? So than I can proceed with unlocking bootloader...Sony way or other...?

I have sim unlocked but bootloader allowed = no .
How can i change my bootloader status to yes ?
Bump on that. I'm having the same issue, unlocked sim (i've tested various carriers without problems) even I have an unlocking code from original carrier, but still "bootloader unlock allowed: No". such a shame having and sim-unlocked phone but still cant unlock its bootloader.

I've unlocked my Xperia Mini Pro's bootloader even though it says "Bootloader unlock allowed: No", it's SIM locked and also says "12w26" I used s1tool to do it.
I can't enter fastboot mode though, I think that it's due to the SIM lock so I'll try to SIM unlock it and see what happens :p
