Method 2 looks much easier, why do method 1?...LOL

So have you tried this yet Rakuu? You would be a good one to try it. You know a lot about our phones.

The guy with the 870A did it and it did not seem to unlock anything. I guess the only way to see if it really works would be to do it and then try to Odin TRWP?! NOT ME!!!
I may try it, I don't think it will work though, whatever CID the bootloader is or is not looking for is not what this will set.
okay so explain to me than why i cant type yes in the cmd window when it asks me too just keeps repeating the same line but doesn't allow me to say yes or no
I can't speak for the tool, only for your original problem with the adb commands, I don't use Windows or batch so I can't comment on it.

it doesn't reboot because it's not supposed to reboot. it's coded to fully power off the device after running, as that's what's needed.
I think he's just referring to the OP and how it says the phone will reboot. For clarity purposes, it actually just turns off like you mention. You need to power on manually.

method two doesnt work for me i fixed my syntax in the terminal still came up with no such file or directory
Try what I did in my post a few above yours by typing out the entire file name including the extension.

---------- Post added at 11:55 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:52 AM ----------

What the poster is saying is the instructions say wait for reboot, to make it absolutely clear for everyone, it would be better to say after phone powers off, reboot.

I did method 2 also, I waited a few minutes just to make sure before I powered the phone on,
You beat me to it...

Did you have to cd into /storage/emulated/0/ as well, or did you actually have the /storage/sdcard/0/ directory as in OP?

And did you have to type in the full filename including extension as I did for the terminal emulator to recognize the file?

I posted quite a few pages back about having to use cd /storage/emulated/0/ plus the part of phone powers off instead of reboot.

Are you rooted? Did you grant root privileges to terminal? Did you start with typing su first?

Can you provide a screenshot of it failing maybe? Your first post here had to do with a mistype, and seeing as /storage/emulated/0 will objectively exist it leads me to believe something is amuck wth your commands if the shell is saying it doesn't exist.

First thing you need to do is check your attitude at the door. People here are trying to help you, as they helped me, and you give them that attitude. I'm surprised they are still responding to you.

I wanted to give Thanks for your comment, but it seems XDA only allows EIGHT thanks per day. That's a new one...LOL. Sorry to waste the post, but I do agree. Some of these "juniors" are very hostile in this thread.

Wish I had a G900V to try it. I am sure if I had that and a "15", it must work.

Sorry to waste the post...still watching the thread though!!!

I can see now why devs can get a little bent out of shape from all the "unresearched" questions.

An +800 post thread is difficult to follow from beginning to end and a good attitude goes a long way on either side.

No one read, I updated the batch in the OP to fix the pull command... it was fixed a few days ago, but you still correct it anyways... thanks for not reading, ur awesome!

Beyond that, it also says in the op to run it twice.... wow.... the lack of reading

can't wait for the "i bricked it threads"

Has anyone else noticed you cant flash any firmware. I tried changing the modem and it will not flash. I pulled the plug and flashed PB1 full factory tar image and it flashed the system, boot and recovery images but it did not flash any bootloaders, firmware or modems. After full factory tar image flash in odin I still have an unlocked phone, which I should not. Do you have any input @beaups. Should this have relocked the bootloader.
same here... build # changes fine, but baseband stays on PB1

exploit is a busted mess atm
worked 1st time through perfectly here.

Welcome to DevEd. If the baseband ever changes it will lock retail again. That's the aboot. Be careful to only flash DevEd safe Roms. Ones with aboot removed. Retail tars will replace aboot.

However with this exploit it appears you could just run the exploit again if a full retail tar is flashed.

As for my experience flashing kernels to DevEd's. Flashing them from a cold boot into download mode makes them stick usually on the 1st attempt. I was aways unsuccessful flashing using reboot menus into download mode.

My man, it's clearly not working for you and forced you to use forum-questionable language in the process. It's a funny way to ask for help! I would advise you calm down a bit before you get a warning from the MODs:good:

---------- Post added at 06:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:34 PM ----------

Just a quick point of protocol here. If I want to attempt Method 2, the steps are supposed to be followed 1-6 then 18-21, all under Method 2? I'm not missing something somehow re: steps 7-17?

I have a quick question, which one do i install out of four different flavors? Also can i reactivate Sansung Lock or is it big NO NO?

The missing steps are for you to use your very active imagination so when you come to the thread and say it doen't work, fake, OP is dumb, or i didn't read the op but downloaded the file anyways and broke my phone

I can say

"Well, maybe you shouldn't listen to your drunk unicron hallucination and wipe mmcblk0"

To everyone else, please read the op carefully

I saw a post about someone trying this on a razr? is everyone trying to make me cry? Next they'll tell me(oh wait they did) again the the adb tools had a typo, even though i updated it half a week ago to fix this....

Corrected location of internal storage to /storage/emulated/0/

Ok, that was a serious question I had. Maybe I missed the explanation on the missing numbered steps. Guess I'll re-read it. Sorry I offended you? I guess?
