I installed v6.1.21 from the OP so that may be the problem. Do you have a link for 6.3.17?

Got the right COM port to show and flashed successfully with miflash but after switching phone on it just stays on mi.com logo.

How long should it take boot up after flashing?

This device is lost .... Activate this device

After rather long customs procedures I finally received my new Mi4c from China yesterday.
Nice phone but can not stand the bloatware that can not be uninstalled, especially not knowing Chinese, these really annoy me!
Checked Google on what to do and decided to flash CyanogenMod on my new phone.
Having earlier unlocked and flashed a few devices (Samsung and HTC) I tried following the directions in this post to unlock it, downloaded the exe, the process started and then error message came that there is not enough space to complete the command. Restated the exe and received the message that fatal error occurred "hello packet"?
Now if I try to boot it tells me that my device has been lost and I need to activate it. I did not adjust such a function.
I can access fastboot but the device continues to be locked as I can not flash TWRP.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance, any help is appreciated.
Will keep on trying.
Right now I feel kind of stupid :(

Hmm. As long as you have Fastboot available, your device is not lost. When in Fastboot mode (the one with the rabbit). You should be able to install at least a MIUI ROM. Just continue at step 3 and be sure you have the correct drivers installed.

Thank you wlkenjaeger, managed to reload an older ram, unfortunately still not able to unlock the device.

after fastboot oem edl, I try to Flash with libra_images_6.1.7_20151221.0000.11_5.1_cn_b09dac70a0.tgz but it´s not working.

System cannot found the specific file. (0x80070002: Open serial port "\\.\COM3")

Can anyone helps with this?

My system is 64bits and I´ve installed QDLoader HS-USB Driver_64bit_Setup.zip

Thx for your answer!

I´ve reinstall the Qualcomm drivers and now the error is different:

Name of the file, name of directory or the syntaxis are not correct. (0x8007007b: Open programmer "C:\fastboot\MPRG*.*")

in directory c:\fastboot is where is the rom libra_images_6.1.7_20151221.0000.11_5.1_cn_b09dac70a0.tgz, I try selection directory c:\fastboot, where is the tgz, not workinig, I unrar the tgz in another directory on c:\ selecting C:\miui_rom\images, same error ... in advance settings C:\miui_rom\flash_all.bat but the problem seems to be the Flash Programmer...

any idea?

Hello,

It's perfectly work with the last dev version on en.miui.com, the 6.4.14.
I've installed TWRP and CM13 from TS team.

Thank you to your tutorial.

Not yet... I expected some help here, someone who solved this problem .. sorry :crying:
I've already solved . You can try, perhaps work for you.

The problem was the driver. I have deactivated the Windows Update search of the driver and selected the drivers of Qualcomm. These drivers are in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Xiaomi\MiPhone\Qualcomm\Driver (or wherever you install MiFlash)

You can do this from device manager, COM Ports. To do this your phone have to be in Fastboot Mode.
