Ok i have seen a lot having brick touchscreen so i made this simple guide to help them claim warranty

this guide can apply to any samsung device having warranty and can use usb otg, like note/2, gs3 any variants, etc.

i myself bricked my touch 2 times and claim warranty 2 times

this what i did to my bricked touch gs3 e210k

1. flash stock official rom for your phone via pc odin
2. use usb otg with any usb mouse to navigate screen and get pass through welcome screen
3. install triangle away to reset counter
4. unroot (check my simple method)
5. if custom shows in status at recovery reflash your stock official rom
6. your good to go to warranty thing

my simple unrooting method
1. after resetting counter install rootuninstaller.apk
2. open apk uninstall supersu.apk
3. goto setting > application manager then uninstall rootuninstaller

hope that help

WARNING!! do not flash any recovery/cf-auto root/rom/firmware/update zip file or apk(that using flashing method) not intended for your device it will brick your touchscreen/phone!!!!

download mode is not touch interface you just press vol down+home+ power it will go to download mode then connect to pc to flash firmware to odin

You should try that .

You do not just press Vol Down + Home + PWR you are missing a vital step that those who cannot see a touchscreen instructions will fail on .Namely once entering the first download screen Volume Up is then required to flash a rom .

yes i agree with that but anyone having touchscreen not functioning can see the instruction on download mode and it will ask to press vol up to continue the process
i am not refering sudden death here no recovery no download mode as in r.i.p.

Can i just say this.. if your phone has sudden death it will be replaced under warrenty custom rom or not.. if it is truly bricked there is no way to test firmware without jtag flashing the motherboard which would reset the entire board and cost more than a replacment board.
And thank you for this guide i was worried about loosing touch after modification

Helloooooooooooooo
If anyone has subscribed to Erica's personal youtube channel you would know she flashed the CF-root for Note II and that ****ed up her screen so she replaced it herself (She is in the United States, no warranty anyway) but... don't flash the wrong kernel :p

if she buy it new i think she has still warranty on it even she is located in the US, she only void her warranty by repairing the phone by herself.
and i think she also created a thread here in xda and i posted to her thread.
