Since you have root now can you grab the boo. Img and get it to skip to see if he can unlock then we can get twrp installed unlocked bootloader and beans can get a latest tar dump from a nand backup?

The link for ODIN in the OP isn't working for me. Is this a new version or can I use the one I've always used for all my other Samsung phones?
Someone on another site said that they had used a method to root but it had, and i quote, "extreme force closes". Anyone confirm or deny on this, or is it an isolated incident with his phone?

I wonder how long before we see the VRLJB tar file released? This is great news and progress, but I would like to have multi-window and signal bars working so I will watch in anticipation.
Sweet hopefully he can get it done and add it to his toolkit, im not a fan of doing Odin flashing. I prefer to unlock bootloader flash recovery and flash a beans rom or Scotts rom

since it changes the boot image on your phone when you install this. And you need su to pull the boot image. its a conundrum.

Just confirming that I have flashed, and I do have working root. Signal bars are still here, and I encountered no force closes upon initial startup.
Flashing just a system Img does not change the boot partition. Just need to have su to be able to pull the boot. Img
