I know this is another thread necro, but great job with this - i had done a manual restore before (and that sucked!) but this was sooo much easier and basically auto-magic - thanks again!

A new, fully up to date copy of the setup files and prebuilt ISO have been uploaded! The ISO is based on 1803 and includes both Home and Pro editions. The stripped builds have been removed. The Halo keyboard and Intel graphics drivers have both been updated. The guide has been slightly modified to reflect changes with the new Halo driver.
Do you think you could provide the debloat steps you did to create the stripped versions of the ISO? That would be really helpful

You do not have to recreate The build unless you want to keep the latest up-to-date version of it. You can go into the device manager for those devices listed and update this way.

The stripped build is something I put together that reduces the amount of bloat and clutter from Windows 10 down to a comparable level of Windows XP. Everything you need to work and not much of what you don't. Chances are it will be removed after I upload the newest version with the spring creators update. It is very similar to what I run on my computer minus about 100 registry tweaks.
Does anyone have a copy of Sandman's stripped builds?

made clean restore. The USB is one problem remained. right after restore external drive works like a charm,I tried several usb sticks with the same descriptor error. After that external drive started give me same error.
USB_DEVICE_DESCRIPTOR_FAILURE
Tried to find hardware with ID -no luck. HOST CONTROLLER . PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_22B5&SUBSYS_72408086
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_22B5 give me Intel Host controller, full ID can't be found. Tried to find drivers from Intel site - product discontinued. Please contact product maker. Lenovo chipset driver
pack have I2C folder but WIndows refuse to install them - no compatible hardware found.
Some more -if I enter BIOS, tablet refuse to see USB stick or keyboard also.

dear Sandman
I have the same issue as Benny72 above, please review this step and clarify as it does not appear clear.
I get a list of folders in a new explorer window when I right click on 'Explore mount directory', not a list of files.
Not clear what to copy, and not clear where to paste.
Tks
Peter

Hello, your toto is great, but i'm lost at item 11
step 10 is opening a Windows in C:\Users\btourret\AppData\Local\Temp\NLTmpMount01 where there are perflog, programs, programs(x64), users and Windows folder.

Step 11. Copy and paste the included files from inside the "Mount Directory Files" folder into the base of the Explorer window that opened.

I dont understand what I should copy to where I must put them...

Just to say Sandman, THANK YOU!!!
I bought a second hand Windows Yoga Book on Sunday and on Monday... I stupidely broke Windows by trying to update the drivers with a software. Then despite trying reseting the installation of Windows 10, I always got a Blue screen before starting Windows 10. I used also your Windows 10 image, and now I will try to create my own to adapt to my language directly. I even noticed my tablet is faster to boot, specially as I am using the Hibernate mode.
Thanks to this post, I have been able to recover a functional Yoga Book. Just one problem, I think the multi mode program is not active: If I click on the pen button above the keyboard, the keyboard turns off but that's all, from what I saw at first, I should have a little menu which appears with OneNote & other programs (not sure, thanks to my stupidity, I had not much time to investigate :()

And another question : I used a lot the scrolling move with 2 fingers but I would like to invert (move down, scroll down) but I can't find the option. Do you know how to?

Thanks again for your work, it saves my day.

Hi, have followed everything and mostly everything works - what doesn't ;
I have a device "Tool Device" that has no driver which seems important - can you guide me to where to find it.
Functionality problems (maybe due to missing driver) are that;
1. the screen does no auto-rotate portrait to landscape any more
2. opening to tablet mode seems to turn off (as if I'd closed the lid).
3. the halo keyboard display is stuck on qwerty even though I have installed in French and the keyboard is mapped to french.
All help appreciated.

For those that have USB blocked by security policy, you can reboot into the bios and turn off secure boot. Turn off and restart the whole boot from usb process again. Unfortunately I'm also stuck at multiple images installation screen.

Multiple Displays Issue

For those that have USB blocked by security policy, you can reboot into the bios and turn off secure boot. Turn off and restart the whole boot from usb process again. Unfortunately I'm also stuck at multiple images installation screen.
So I too have got to this stage and appear to have tried everything. I am stuck with about 5 copies of the installation laid over each other and unable to proceed any further. I spoke to Lenovo (Who are useless) and they just said the only option is to pay for them to do it! No system restore images available etc...

I am continuing to search each day, but replied here so can keep up to date in case anyone else finds a fix for this.

Hello,

Great guide, is helping people even today.
I've managed to install Windows and everything works however when pressing the pen button the keyboard vibrates and goes dark but nothing else happens. Starting OneNote and trying to use the pen doesn't work on the keyboard, only on the screen. Is anything else required to make the pen work? Or it only works in certain softwares?

Much appreciated.
