Hey, thank you so much for your help. I am done with my yoga book, i did what you said about the system 32 folder, but it didn't work. then, I install one by one every single .inf and it work perfect to me.

Again, thank you for putting all the drivers together and for being very accesible to respond my "new/nervous user".
By the way, i do a lot of mistakes while writing, is there an option to use some predictive keyboard as in the cellphone?

MERRY CHRISTMAS
I'm glad my files helped you out but I promise your doing it the hard way.
I haven't tried this yet but I will soon! Looks like the help the Halo keyboard could use.

Call me stupid, but how does one boot off the newly created USB key?

I've disabled bitlocker,
I disabled secure boot in the BIOS (status shows disabled)
I've got the USB key in a working OTG adapter

And thank you so much for the detailed directions btw. It's nice to see someone go so far out of their way to help others.

I guess I did forget the last step! Press and hold the volume up followed by the power button. Hold both until the pen button begins flashing then let go of the power button. When the screen lights up let got volume up button. If the USB key was formatted as a proper GPT partition it will show as a boot option.

I'm old school, I like to give as well as take from the community ;) It's an awesome little machine it just needs a lot of help in one key area. My hope is with an easy way to refresh their Yoga Book maybe we can get more people modding it!

Looks like it was formatted incorrectly. Not sure about the scheme (GPT or MBR) but it was formatted as NTFS.

I'm re-doing it now with GPT and FAT32. Fingers crossed.

thanks for replying.

UPDATE: It's working now with GPT and FAT32. Thanks again man. You made this SO EASY! I'm excited for a fresh install. Next stop: blackviper.com for some tuning ;)

Awesome I am glad to hear that it helped you out! I am going to add some things to the original post later tonight. I was out getting a newer car today or it would have been done earlier :)

Thank you for taking the time to post your success. Hopefully it will encourage others to try it.

Camera doesn't seem to work. How's yours?

Can't start your camera. If you're sure the camera is connected and installed properly, try checking for updated drivers, If you need it, here's the error code: 0xA00F4246(0x800706D9)

My camera is working, both of them. I will look into the error message now. If you find a solution please let me know. Have you installed all the available Windows updates? I don't really think that's the issue but it's easy enough to try. Did you happen to tweak any settings under "setting"?

I take it you've noticed a nice little performance boost since installing Windows this way? I've purchased NTLite so I could remove 217 windows components on my Yoga Book. No Windows Defender, Edge, Goove, or any of that other nonsense I will never use.

2000 Lincoln Town Car. Got a pretty good deal on her with only a small handful of piddly problems! I love the good ole big body rides. My '93 Towny with 200,000 tried to kill me 2 to many times in the last month. It was her time to be taken out!

UPDATE: I believe I have found the issue and the fix! It is because the latest Fall Creators Update and it affects random computers. It can affect internal and USB cameras too. I am really starting not to like the 1709 update. Merge the included registry file and reboot. That should hopefully fix the issue. If it works for you I will add it to the setup files archive so no one else will be bothered by this error.

Holy **** that worked! I swear I tried it before. I removed my key and used yours and rebooted. Thank you!

Nice ride man. I've always liked big rides like that too. I used to have a 1995 Jaguar VandenPlas. Big luxurious land yacht. I've always wanted a 60's Lincoln with the suicide doors.

I'm glad we were able to get that fixed without much issue. It wasn't caused by anything you or I had done. It is just a weird random bug in the 1709 update. It strikes at random on random computers from any manufacturer. The fix has been included in the setup files. There are no changes in the build process.

I must say you sir have good taste in vehicles! I hadn't heard of that Jag before but it is one sweet looking ride. I could likely get five parts to one compared to the Jag  Welp time to head out in the freezing cold :( to yank out my deck and kickers. They're not going to the scrapyard today!

I've followed the steps exactly three times now and I still get the same error. Any ideas?

It says: BIOS - 0x80040111 Boot sector read error, make sure that the orginal "Boot' or 'Efi' folder is present.

It happens right as NTlite is about to create the iso. Its all good though. I just used folder2iso to make the iso. Yoga is super fast now. Thanks for the guide.
NTLite actually updates quite regularly so it was possibly a bug in the program. I'm glad you got it sorted out and are now enjoying the results :good:

What do you think of turning off the automatic driver updates by MSFT? I think this is what started all this in the first place. The Windows 10 update was trying to install some sort of Intel Display driver. Do you think it would be better to turn this off and update through the Lenovo site?

Updating the Display Driver is ok, but you will have to reinstall the "Halo Keyboard Driver" as it splits the EMR Pen Wacom Function from the AnyPen Screen ... Updating the Display Driver somehow alters the priority to AnyPen...

When was this driver released? I have not had this issue personally. I will check with my Yoga Book later today and get back with you. If there is a newer driver than what is included I will work on adding it to the package to prevent this issue.

I always allow Windows update to install both updates and drivers. My current display driver version is 20.19.15.4509. If Windows Update did update the driver it hasn't caused me any issue.

One thing I strongly advise against is running Insider builds on the YB. I tried for a couple of weeks but kept having odd little issues popping up.

I went ahead and did a quick check into the driver. Both the Lenovo driver site and Windows update aren't showing any updates for me. Can someone post the driver version or a link to the latest version?

Anyone else have the Licence key verification window pop up when installing Windows with this method?

From what I know the Lenovo Yoga Book comes with an onboard licence key or something (ie no physical key for me to type). My particular model had an issues with the licence being missing onboard so I even had to send it in to get that repaired. Apparently even after two depot mail-in repairs they still didn't renew my Windows key.

Make sure you have selected the proper version of Windows 10. If you have a 64GB hard drive you have the older Yoga Book that came with the home edition. The Yoga Book that has a 128GB hard drive comes with the pro edition. This would cause the issues you are having. Using an ISO not downloaded with the tools from the 1st post may also cause issues if they have been modified.

The only other time you may see variation from this is if you upgrade Windows yourself using a retail ISO like I have. Got Pro for $14.00  Now when I install it ask me for a product key. The first time I installed it I actually had to insert the product key. Since I use a Microsoft account everytime after the first install I skip inserting the product key and Windows pulls it from my Microsoft account automatically.
