Beginning with Android 10 you can use WPA3 (system side).
Even the Kernel can be compiled for using WPA3.
The Problem was, till now, the misding vendor implementation (Android 9).
With the new Vendor based on Android 10 (QKQ1.190910.002/V11.0.1.0) this has changed.
Now all is ready for WPA3 on Redmi Note 7.
But... Xiaomi has disabled it by default.
Good News... You can simple enable it.
You only need to edit the file /vendor/etc/wifi/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini
and set sae_enabled to 1.
Restart Device and its working (you have to re add the wifi network!). It depends surely on system and kernel, too.
Good Luck!
