Screenshot_5.jpg

- About -

This is an UPDATED & FRESH HD TUTORIAL which shows how to connect your MODEM to your ANDROID DEVICE using an OTG CABLE and browse the internet.

- Purpose -

- When you don't have an unlimited mobile data plan, or you want to save some MB, just connect your unlimited traffic modem and you're ready to go.
- When you are going on a trip and you don't have Wi-Fi connection or any stable mobile signal, just connect your modem and you're ready to go.
- When you are in the subway and your provider supports the mobile strenght with more antennas, just connect the modem and you're ready to go.
- What do you need? -

- A ROOTED ANDROID DEVICE (THIS IS A MUST!) - ANDROID 5.0.X & even some 5.1.X supported
- An OTG Cable, not just a cheap one, you will need something that will be able to transmit the power of your modem into your device.
- PPP Widget 2
- How to do it? Just watch the video below entirely -

Thanks to Josua Dietze for keeping this app alive! @JFDee

You have to disable that option I thicked in the video, related to the network disable and try again. The FC-ing after reboot it's normal, there's nothing to be done about it. Just delete and set it again. Sorry for late reply, I was in my county with no signal at all. So to sum up, all you have to do is follow the same steps as I did in my video guys, without having to check that DISABLE MOBILE SUBSYTEM box.

Doesn't work on Nexus 4 (hellscore kernel with OTG support, stock ROM 4.4.4). It keeps disconnecting. Always ask me to configure a new SIM card.

I'm using stock Xperia Z1 Compact,
The widget showing no modem connected,
Is it only working with Huawei modems?
Because I'm using another brand

    Hi,

developer of PPP Widget 1 and 2 here.

If you run into problems while trying to make these apps work, please give feedback at

    http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswitch/bb/viewforum.php?f=6

This is the direct channel for reporting bugs and stuff. Also make sure you have read the FAQs before posting a, well, frequently asked question ...

Note that I will not check problem reports on XDA continually.
