Finally I unbrick my watch today. I would like to make sure that I got things right this time.

1. Flashing adfree 2 files. (Using Netodin with AP option?)
2. Pulling 2 files. Modifying with a new csc, saving and pushing them back with sdk commands. (I intend to use BTU)
3. Flashing a new firmware (OXA) with 4 files and corresponding 4 options ticked in Netodin.

Please correct me if I get somethings wrong. Appreciated.

If you want Spay to work, you have to change your CSC to a region that supports it AND you will need a credit card from a bankthat supports it.
Spain supports SPay, and oxygen saturation measurement. To change your CSC to Spain (PHE), all you have to do is reset your watch and choose Spain as your region. That works, surprisingly. My watch is Dutch, and the the Netherlands, Spain and Germany are in the same group of countries that you can choose from after a reset. Other countries in that group are Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, Luxemburg, Portugal, and Switserland.

German banks don't support Spay. The British Curve card does, and you can link your German credit card to the Curve card. All you have to think about is to enter a 5 digit zip code for your German card when you link it to your Curve card (credits to @trnow). This shouldn't be a problem since German zip codes are 5 digits anyway.
A bit of a late reply maybe, but i'm in the same situation as you are. Also put my region to spain, got Spay to work.. Just wondering, are you adding any dutch Creditcards to Spay, or any different way? Paypal wont work either :(

What's your model number and firmware version before flashing adfree files please?
Mine is sm-r845f with (oxa) csc... Does it work with my watch too?
Thanks

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

Samsu.g doing funny Security changes to every new Firmware... to create more "fun" for us...

So sometimes after few weeks or monthS... files are very old.

Old solution is "obsolete" for new Firmware on Device...

So it make sense to create new files for new Bootloader Version...

Still we have since yearSSSSSS the 1 and only leaked netOdin Version...
No newer Version.
And it simple still not support additional crap folder meta-data and 1.mf

Only as example why old files can fail... if you allready have new crap on your device...

Samsungs Rollback Prevention crap strategy...

Best Regards

How did you do it? after changing the csc from EUR to PHE I can't send the commands to the clock. it tells me :error writing, system read only.
Hello are you in developer mode on your watch, and after installing the combination CSC does your watch have to restart, and that's when you have access for reading and writing. I follow the tutorial on Youtube and I advise you sometimes to pause and move forward in slow motion because the guy is going very fast and you have to be able to follow him.

Hi, i have followed TechnoProz video to try change region on my galaxy watch 3 r840. Ive used the file he provided to flash it. Have connected to WIFI, switched bluetooth off, developer mode is on and so is debugging.
Issue i am having is, when i connect to the watch using SDB, it will not let me turn root on. Permission denied.
Using Tizen studio device manager, i can pull the files from the watch, modify, but cannot push them back due to permission denied, this says i need to give it permission from the watch, but i cannot see anything else i can do from the watch.
Can anyone help please, i need to change from region XSG to BTU

Hello, I was trying to change the region according to video.
Successfully applied combination firmware. But stuck on
sdb connect 192.168.0.109.
Yes - 192.168.0.109 is ip of my watch
Yes - PC and watch in the same network and Wi-Fi is always on
Yes - rebooted watches and PC several times. Even tried to connect from other PC

My watch came from Poland and the model is SM-R840

Any ideas why watches are not available for sdb tool? :(

Thanks

    How To

    Hi guys,
I want to clarify something I have learned the hard way.
Change the region in easy, but you should know what is used for.
Net odin: Is a program that allow you to upload the firmware to your watch.
Combination firmware: Is a firmware that MUST be installed before doing anything else. It will allow to use sdb tools. You install with Net Odin. It must be the right one for your watch model.
SDB Tools: This is cmd software that can read two files from your watch and save, "pull "them in your computer. You will need to use the right version (windows, mac ubunto and so on) Once pulled the files, you will mod, with a text editor, the region code and save the files. Then you will upload them to your watch pushing them always with SDB tools "push".
Firmware: Is the actual working firmware that you will upload to your watch after the operation above. Usually is a packed file containing three files that you will upload using Net Odin
I hope this helps the ones like me not very familiar with the procedures required.
    Ciao ciao

I bought the GW3 watch yesterday. Unfortunately I live in Gibraltar which for some unknown reason is considered the backwater of the internet and we are blocked by both Google and Samsung - Google does not let us buy anything from Google Play, although we have found a way around that. Samsung goes a step further and we cannot even browse their store :(

My question is: I've seen videos on how to change the Active 2 region and I'm wondering if there is a procedure for GW3?

Until I change the region I will not be able to get any apps installed other than the ones preinstalled in the watch. BTW I also tried the SDB connect and I cannot connect to the watch even changing the port number...

has anyone figure out the way to change the region from Canada to US?
