Maybe someone can flash a T-Mobile 10j kdz file on their MetroPCS Stylo to spoof LG Bridge and update from there or see if OTA works from Tmo 10j KDZ

So how did you capture the OTA? Is this the official OTA update file?

This is the official OTA update file. LG OTA downloads the update.zip to the /cache directory on your Android device before you agree to install it. You will of course need root first to copy the update.zip from your /cache directory to storage.

It is possible to flash this file, BUT not in its current state, some things need to be modified like the updater-script, the default behavior is to do a system integrity check, abort the update should it find violations, and apply patch files (example, system/recovery-from-boot.p is the patch file that is used to patch the stock recovery with the locked one) I couldn't update directly to Marshmallow to dd the system and boot img because it fails if it detects you are rooted, in addition, no root solution exists for MM on the Tmo/Metro Stylo yet AFAIK. So for now the OTA update zip is all devs have for now

I'll see what I can do but rather someone with more experience do this ;)

Alright guys, I flashed a T-Mobile 10j KDZ file on my MetroPCS Stylo and everything works, I snagged the Marshmallow update.zip

Metro users should be able to just flash the t-mobile stock KDZ file and receive T-mobile OTA updates
Sweet! Now I can dive into some development on this phone! Time to get my build environment set up once again. It's been a while but maybe I can use the T-Mobile OTA to build an unofficial MetroPCS Marshmallow update.

Just unrooted and did an LG Bridge to check for updates and so far all it gave me was 5.1.1 H63110I. Will check periodically for the 20L update unless someone has an update.zip that will work. I no longer have root so this will be interesting...

New URL to get kdz firmware with imei

I have a screenshot of what happens when I go to that site and put in my IMEI. I've removed my IMEI and SN for obvious reasons, but I'm not sure what to do with this information now that I have it.

LG has changed the URL that we used to get firmware with IMEI code.

You can still get firmware for Some old models via below two links.
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=[Your-IMEI]

OR

http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/os_upgrade_check.jsp?esn=[Your-IMEI]

Here is the New URL;

https://csmg.lgmobile.com:49002/csmg/nb2c/gn_auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=[Your-imei]

Your browser send POST request, and then You can get a xml file which includes firmware download url.

But the URl looks like this:

<sw_url>nNDKjeaqClYJ63yWmSaIO+nlE3gjXluSN/64E/278RSt8dh+ivIkURKbS+MdZ3WqxPCczRu9BRE9yyvJzdNvwQXBnsB0kJZz53Ms2e+0KbXn6s2C4ggROAUoGpk4eNhbKXwDbbI6CYhEZ2kTylnDFljBuWq/xwd6VRAE+AEZXNxhC/BTZiLDzKynqDB9yePRNK6XxGNHd7n3+K7SoYD2mw==</sw_url>

We need to find a way to decode the SW_url

Unfortunately that new link doesn't work for me at all. I keep checking every couple hours, both on wifi and LTE, to see if the update is available to me. Not even LG Bridge will let me update, at least not on stock unrooted, to 20b, which is weird because when I was going to update it off Katana ROM it said there was an update available. The reason I didn't grab it is because it was reading the phone as a MetroPCS version and I didn't want the radios to be all d***ed up during the update since I'm on T-Mo

Open Source Files are now Released

The LG Open Source Files have now been released for Marshmellow so hopefully a KDZ is not that far away for this device. I have the T-Mobile version and it is not offering me the update, as of yet. Bummer..... so I keep hoping that a KDZ file pops up soon. :)

Finally got my phone to upgrade last night. I had to leave wifi on overnight so it would download the update and then installed it this morning. I'm digging the whole changing permissions thing, but the settings->apps or long press and app info screen takes some getting used to
