I took the time and saw that we had to buy the Mod Installer Pro 2 software from hal9k.
I will do it but pending confirmation of creation of the Paypal account

You may have missed the posts that detail upgrading with free & official factory tools. That paid software might be easier for some though.

1. Someone have to pay $11,00 to buy the ModInstallPro2, you want free ? Noway :D
2. The Dev add your SN to the apk, only you can use the apk. You can install the apk if someone share, but can’t install the Recovery Mod !

I don't ask myself the question of having it free, it's just to know, and as I always say, all work deserves a salary.

I would kindly ask you for help. Would anyone like to go to their car, copy and upload somewhere where I would most easily download widget files. I assume the file is called HCTwidgetHA.apk or similar and is located in root/system/app. You can also rename the file extension from apk to zip.

I would try to change my Android 8 widgets look, to make them look the same as Dasaita (HA), Android 10. I like the look as the screenshots are made by Doky1988 in his post.

It would be good to add a background image as well. Probably in the wallpaper folder

Extract from the update IMG or otas?

This is impossible because when unpacked HA3_PX5_10.0_ota (20200706), it is obtained update.zip, and when that file is unpacked, a folder with the following content is obtained.
updadte-zipcontent.jpg

I can't do anything else. It's a similar thing with the img file.

I didn't give up, but I didn't manage to extract the widget apk. This is my attempt, based on the pictures I found on the NET.

Screenshot20201006-213535.png

Although I used the original images from HCTwidgetHA.apk (Android 8), it looks like there was a cropping out of widgets. There was also a problem. Namely, when I deleted HCTwidgetHA.apk HU rebooted and dropped the message that Android is corrupted, and needs to be reset to factory settings, and then reset again in Recovery. Next time it started but without the home screen, and without widgets. I'm not satisfied and I'm not capable, but maybe someone else who knows better - likes the idea and do it better.

I was wondering I installed my head unit yesterday and it worked fine for 1 hour or so and then it blacked screened. I looked at all the wiring and it was fine. When I hold the power and reset button after a few second the lights start flickering and it then it stops. How do I reboot completely or just how do I fixed it.

2- My radio is dasaita but any of these 3 roms are compatible right?
3- all roms include day and night mode?

    Regards.

    1. Look at the screenshots. It's almost the UI.
    2. Yes!
    3. No. Only the MX/Witson ROM.

    Hi guys,
I have an RK3368 octa core PX5 device currently running Android 9. I've tried to install this update, but am getting an error. The process starts, but then the recovery screen appears. The sequence of messages reads :-
    Verifying Update Package...
Update package verification took 46.2 s (result 0).
    Installing update...
    Target: rockchip/rk3368/blah blah blah
    assert failed: update_dynamic_partitions(package_extract_file("dynamic_partitions_op_list")
    E:Error in /mnt/usb_storage/update.zip (Status 7)
    Installation aborted

    I then need to reboot.

When I insert the USB card and the system picks up the update file, there is an option to format the device - I'm not selecting that. Do I need to tick the box to format the device ? Or does anyone have any ideas whet the issue might be ?

    Thanks.

You need the Android 10 recovery to install this.
    You can find it here:

I think you mean, not all units have a GPS sdcard slot. Often these are hidden and internal to the unit.

The factory methods do work where the unit has an SDcard, id 0/1 USB or use OTG.
Furthermore, some units have OTG without mods by simply connecting a USB-USB. In fact it will work for any rockchip headunit, but must use the correct manufacturer type .IMG.
E.g. all MTCD/E use HCT type or MTCD/E images from HA, GS,

Also with GPS slot it doesn't work with some of them and the method with USB A to A doesn't work either, there is only the OTG variant which not everybody has and you have to remove the radio from the car first.

The Mod Installer Pro from hal9k_ is better suited and less complicated.
