Hi Everyone
Please could someone zip up their root folder, without system, so that I get a copy of all the /dev files and everything else.
I have looked everywhere and have overwritten the phone with ROMs but they don't include the /dev area of files.
I have SM-G925F exynos 8 core.
If anyone has the same then please zip it all up and post it here for me. It'll mean I can try unlock my phone. I have no idea why my phone doesn't have /dev/mem and other files.

Best regards, Dean

Dean,

First... This whole forum is for the Verizon model SM-N900V version of the Note 3. That's not what you have.

Second... /dev "files" are not files for the most part.. They are links to the hardware created during bootup. Different hardware different links.

UNIX (LINIX) based operating systems have a kernel layer (software) that that is specific to the hardware. Think of the kernel as.. Among other things.... as a series of device drivers that show up in /dev as if they were plain old files.

The point being, hacks that access stuff in /dev are specific to specific hardware... Thus hacks that works on the Verizon Note 3 (snapdragon processor) most likely will not work on a Note 3 from Europe based on the Exynos processor.

You need to get back to straight stock and then move forward with ROMs and kernels designed specifically for your model Note 3.
