so to be clear .... there is still no way to back-up DRM keys of actual device ? and this DRM fix is just circumventing the fact that they are missing, right? i mean ... upon booting "the DRM" is tricked into belive that the keys are there?

If you want to use the patch with your own kernel, you should include the exports for the preloaded libs in your ramdisk.
file: RAMDISK/init.environ.rc

After that you can flash your kernel and also flash my DRMpatch (DRMpatch-sToRm.zip) which contains the preloaded libs and the patched secd (required).

I'm on the new oreo update now and love the new update so I'd definitely like to stay on it, so I was just wondering if you'll be posting a updated Kernal for oreo anytime soon or is it not possible yet? Sorry I don't know much about the more technical stuff besides on the basics that most ppl with modded phones know already ? I can't wait till you do anywho so I could unlock my phones potential finally ?

WARNING!

There are a few users reporting problems with the kernel (sticked in Sony boot). It's because they used the wrong kernel version!
Please note: BEFORE you flash the kernel, make sure you have the right version! Phone Settings -> About -> Model / Build number
In the downloads you find kernels for different versions. You can flash the patched AndroPlus kernels (from me) also, if you have problems with the stock kernels. Check the relevant version here https://kernel.andro.plus/yoshino.html and then flash my patched kernels of AndroPlus (in the download pack or under the alternative downloads).

Because some users had AndroPlus_v05 kernel on their phones, I will patch this kernel right now and add the download link in the first post. They can flash this kernel and after that Magisk and DRMpatch, as in the description.

It should work. I used the old drmfix by tobias.waldvogel and included it. So it should be the same functionality on XZP as it was on older devices.

I had a look into Oreo firmware and noticed that Sony must read my threads and brainstorming here! They changed some things in relevant system files to hide strings by reverse engineering their stuff! The "huj huj huj" is deleted and the subs changed. Also they changed the functions a little bit, so that it's different than before. Hahaha... They really think I am stupid as ****, huh? Give me a few days. I will flash Oreo and do my job. LMAO...
