Yeah tried that in both Time Formats (12h & 24h), didn't work.
Yeah I am struggling with the same issue in my Kia K5 2021, couldn't find a way to solve this annoying problem.Anyone know if there's a way, in a Kia Seltos SX Canadian model, to use engineering mode to enable full screen android auto? I have the 10.25" screen and it's frustrating only being able to use 2/3 of the screen.
Any ideas?
if it's 1 knob onlyHi All,
Have just bought Hyundai Tucson 2021 Hybrid 10" touch screen model (EU Version from manufactured in Czech ). Have read and tried all variations from this thread to enter to engineer mode. None worked...
what I could not understand:
a) How exactly I should enter in Engineer Mode for my case...
b) Why "update" button is disabled (grayed) in my case, when on everyone's else screenshots "update" button is clearly enabled (white text)?
After reading all latest posts in this thread I understood that most probably
@olega59 , @SonicSpinner
you may have answer for my case.
Would appreciate much if anyone knows how to exactly enter for this version in Engineer Mode.
Attaching screenshots and version information.
Things I want to experiment with:
1. I want to disable built-In navigation (since it is not working in Georgia).
2. Download/Update Georgian Map from TomTom live (for mobile verions there is a map of Georgia) or enable BlueLink App (it is not installed at this moment) and many others, but at first I just what to enter engineer mode and check what in my car
This sounds to me like wrong USB drive format. For some variants its FAT32 and for some its exFAT.Unable to software update my USA KIA Sportage 2020 LX
My car has no SD card slot so I'm using Navigation Updater program and two usb drives USB 2.0 32gb and USB 3.0 64gb yet whenever I finish copying the files to either USB drives and plugging it into the USB slot in my car and going to update section I receive the following message "insert the device that contains update..." or something of that sort. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for replying. I only tried FAT32 as that's what it showed me on KIA website for the Sportage 2020.This sounds to me like wrong USB drive format. For some variants its FAT32 and for some its exFAT.
Did you try re-formatting ?
Its all touch.. but i will try all combinations of buttons availbale and update you back.
With some help from @SonicSpinner I am now able to sideload apk:s on my 2018 Kia Niro PHEV.
Successfully installed CPU-Z, FX File Explorer, PacMan from Easy Fire Tools (utilizing adb over WiFi).
Trying to install YouTube Vanced, I get the following Error:
Failed: Unsupported android version (INSTALL_FAILED_OLDER_SDK)
System Requirements for installing Vanced is a bit unclear. Some apk repositories states min 4.4 (KitKat) whereas other places states the minimum level is 5.0 (Lollipop). Have tried installing both Vanced Manager as well as Vanced standalone.
Does anybody now a workaround, to make Vanced finnish the installation?
According to CPU-Z, my Head Unit contains:
SoC: TCC893x CPU: 32 bit ARM Cortex-A9 Dual Core Total RAM: 822 MB Available RAM: 316 MB (38%) Internal Storage: 1,38 GB Available Storage: 1,25 GB (90%)
Operating System (according to CPU-Z):
Android Version 4.4.2 API Level: 17 Kernel Architecture: armv71 Kernel Version: 3.1.10-tcc (user.dagyeong.kim.20210111.113527)

Hi,
Does anyone have any dea how to access engineering mode on my i40 Gen4 Unit with software ST.VFIA.EUR.E536.230920? I need to change amp modes but I cant seem to even get the password prompt to appear as of yet. Thanks.
EDIT: I've managed to get the password screen to appear, it was on the storage info screen, 5 taps in the bottom left and then 1 tap in the bottom right, I mustn't have been tapping quite far enough into the corner. I'll have a try at getting the codes from the update file tomorrow and post back with any updates (if there are any).
I'm not afraid of challenges, but sometimes I need a little helpThere was no need to download software from another model!
Now it is already DIFFICULT to repair.
Just purchased a 2022 Telluride SX with the wide screen. Been reading this thread and noticing no one has found a way to get into engineering mode for these newer firmware, right?
I would just like to side load some apps and be able to run them from the Kia main menu.
If for some reason I am incorrect in that there’s no way to side load these newer widescreens then please do let me know. It’s Likely I may have scanned across a post or something that had that info.
Thanks!
Hi guys,
On my Tucson (2018 - AA) I can only access the engineering mode where I don't...
Now that we can sideload apps, is there any way to let Android auto work wirelessly?
