Hello!

I've just bought a cheap Android-based DLP projector (https://ru.aliexpress.com/item/d7-2-16-WI/32840752762.html) and faced an issue that its picture is overcontrast and oversaturated. Take a look:

https://pp.userapi.com/c847016/v847016659/13fb08/g_08wmZSuGk.jpg

I've managed to fix this by connecting it to my pc, and correcting saturation and contrast via player in windows:

But that works only via HDMI source. I can play youtube, movies, and pictures directly from Android, but there is no such option to correct it. Is there any custom firmware with such an option?

Okay, that's a real trash. Managed to find an app in google store, but this only allows to change contrast, no simple "saturation" slider.

Thanks for posting back..
Grabbed one of these for a play and had thought it would be good for using in class..

But these are not that good.

While it is fine for home use as in for the kids and for maybe taking camping and running a movie at night off the side of a tent..
(Little Bluetooth speaker and this.)

I wouldn't recommend them as yet..

The technology is getting there and as the ability to maximize light gets better we will just have to wait..

Will give your apps a try and see how we go..

This works for quick reboots..

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mpdevelopers.easyreboot

Have not tried to boot to recovery as yet .not game..as don't know if the USB combo will work and haven't found out if there is a pin hole to use .

Have you upgraded to Android 7.1 yet?

Hello,

The only way to have “natural colors” with this projector is by using a free app from google play that is called “color calibrator” (by HalfCycle).

You set to full (move the bars on the right) the following (only) : red, blue, green AND contrast

It worked ;)

Okay, I was able to find firmware for this projector. Firmware + soft to flash is in this archive on my dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rfyab93cnb1c40t/D7 firmware.zip?dl=0

Flashing this thing is trash. Need a USB to USB cable, need to install driver, then connect the projector to PC, enable the app in windows, but it can't find projector... then turn on the projector, nothing will happen, then you need to pack firmware file to zip and put it on a flash drive and insert into the projector, and then update via the internal projector update app. And it all should happen only when you are connected to PC. No logic here.

But after this, I've got native saturation control in the projector. So this app is not needed anymore. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.omegacentauri.red)

Interesting as I just pulled this out for a play..
Will download and have a go.

What android version is it?
Plus care to share on where you picked it up from?

I got mine to flash off the computer.

https://youtu.be/I9ymjCpGJt4

Just followed this guy and it took a few times..
i also used easyboot to get to recovery and fastboot
will have a play

Picture seems better with stock settings and overall feels ok for what it is..

The Youtube Tv app is not working but standard YouTube is. Go figure.

I stream from a synology and that worked well..

Speakers seem a but better but of course the sound is tinny due to them being so small.. Pipe out to blue tooth is the go.

Good Day may i ask how was the installed firmware goes today? Does the projector still working as of today?

Can i see the Kernel Version and Build number of your Projector?

I just bought mine second hand from a friend. DLP P09-II Android 6.0. I want to know if installing your provided firmware will not harm the projector. I experience the same problem. The over saturated color especially on HDMI which cannot be corrected with the apps you suggest.

Thank you.

Добрый день, могу я спросить, как прошла сегодня установленная прошивка? Работает ли проектор на сегодняшний день?

Могу ли я увидеть версию ядра и номер сборки вашего проектора?

Я только что купил подержанный у друга. DLP P09-II Android 6.0. Я хочу знать, не повредит ли проектору установка предоставленной вами прошивки. У меня такая же проблема. Перенасыщенный цвет, особенно на HDMI, который нельзя исправить с помощью предлагаемых вами приложений.

Спасибо.

Hi, have you flashed its firmware?
I also just bought this projector. It is interesting to try the firmware on it.
