Got my Haicom car holder today and it's looking good. I got the windscreen mounted one, don't know if there are other mounts. It's custom made to fit the DHD, the quality looks excellent (just like the Touch HD's one), the fit is tight, and all the ports and buttons are accessable. Even the camera, flash and the rear speaker are left uncovered. It can be fitted to face any direction and rotated both portrait and landscape. Also it's modular, so if you have a Haicom holder for your previous phone you can buy just the part that actually holds your phone and use the old mount (I wish I didn't give my old holder along with my Touch HD and all the other accessories ;) ). The price difference is not so great though for the whole set or just the holder. Anyway here are the pictures of the holder. Tomorrow I'll post pictures of the installed holder in the car if I don't forget my DSLR at home ;)
EDIT: Here is the picture of the installed holder as promised. The only problem is that due to the size of the phone and the fact that the car panel doesn't support landscape mode, you have to rotate the holder in landscape to slide the phone (the windscreen gets in the way because of its shape) and then rotate it back to portrait to use the car panel. It's annoying but certainly something I can live with.

I have the same holder.

Easiest way I found to get phone in/out was to press the button to widen the angle away from the screen. I only use phone in portrait mode.

Or you can install a landscape car dock software and landscape navigation software and use the phone in landscape only. That's what I did anyway ;).

Where can this mount be purchased from? And what's this the dhd's nav software won't work in landscape? Is that right?

I got it from here. Unfortunately HTC made their Car Panel and Locations to work only in portrait. I'm so glad that I didn't purchase their navigation before I got my holder! Now I'm using Google's car panel and iGo. Perfect combination!

NP. By the way, in Gingerbread (at least in ARHD) locations software works in landscape. If HTC made it that way when the DHD was released, they would have my money for turn-by-turn navigation.

I use cyanogenmod and I use Google Maps in landscape mode
Google Maps works in landscape. I'm talking about the Locations software which came with the DHD. I really like it and it was a shame that HTC forgot to make it (and the car panel) to work in landscape in the original Froyo ROM. Anyway Google's car panel and iGo are good enough combination for offline routing.
