Is it the same as the G3 LED? Or is it more customizable?I didn't see a high sensitivity setting, but it does have a multicolored LED for notifications!

This is not true. T-Mobile did ship all of their G3s unlocked. For security reasons no OEM will ship will unlocked bootloader, but some give you the option to do it.
Its a toggle command in the developer options to be able to unlock itPlease AnswerIs the boot loader locked or not? The T-Mobile G3 came unlocked out of the box. Region did not matter.

Man. That sucks bad.
Maybe he Samsung Galaxy S5, look here. I am hoping that includes the S5+. Still can't decide between G5 and S5+. The G4 is larger than I want and Saygus may yet be an option.Do any phones these days have FM radios? Seems like a dying feature.
Also, I am assuming the G4 has an IR blaster? Those things come in super handy at hotels for hijacking the room TVs to change inputs for my Amazon Fire Stick
Update:
Looks like a shortlist but the HTC M8 has one. Probably the best you can do at the moment.
Sadly I don't that site is accurate. It lists the Samsung S6 and edge but a quick search shows that it does not. Also the LG G2 and G3 do not. The LG Flex 2 has a snapdragon 810 (overheating issues, maybe under clock?) but I havent confirmed. Anyway, that is a different topic. FM is not wanted or needed for me.Maybe he Samsung Galaxy S5, look here. I am hoping that includes the S5+. Still can't decide between G5 and S5+. You can use http://www.phonearena.com/phones/size to compare phone sizes.Sadly I don't that site is accurate. It lists the Samsung S6 and edge but a quick search shows that it does not. I am concerned with the size. The G2 is great but I am 5'6" and do not have monster hands. I am a Network engineer so I am constantly have my hands full. Making a phone require 2 hands is called a tablet at that point. I miss sizeeasy.com for quick comparisons.
My G4 arrived today and I'm loading up my apps as we speak. I'm pleased to report that when I started the GPS Status app it took just a few seconds to acquire a lock. :victory: Just the way it should be! And based on my cursory examination of the phone and its features I will be satisfied with it going forward. So my Note 3 will be going back to T-Mobile. It was a good phone and I will miss the stylus but it's time to turn the page.Try it after rebooting the phone and give us a feel for how quickly the GPS acquires a position lock both with A-GPS and on its own. If you would be so kind... I (and I suspect others) would be most grateful!
If there's only one set, then it's NFC. Is that the T-Mobile model? Can you compare the pins on the phone to the pins on the sticker in the link I posted above yours? I want to make sure they match so I can order them ahead of time.My G4 arrived today and I'm loading up my apps as we speak. Just to confirm, the sticker on the inside of my cover in the image I've uploaded is not the one associated with wireless charging but rather NFC? Just so's I know before ordering a Qi...
G4 locked instantly indoor.Although the international versions of the phone are supposed to have FM radio (according to GSMArena at least) I would have been surprised if any U.S. carrier hadn't arranged for that feature to be disabled. It used to be because they wanted to push you into using their streaming media in order to use up your data allocation. Though with T-Mobile you don't use up your data balance so that rationale no longer makes sense. I for one would like the feature enabled as I do occasionally listen to terrestrial radio and would appreciate the option. Perhaps if the hardware can still accommodate it this could be enabled in a custom ROM.
I just ordered the G4 with the 128GB microSD card to replace my Note 3. Apart from the ability to add storage with cards I'm anxious to see if the GPS works better. Samsung's recent phones in general, and the Note 3 in particular, seem to be saddled with weak GPS sensors. They worked better back in the days of my original Tab and Galaxy SII Skyrocket but the newer phones just don't acquire a GPS lock on their own too well (and barely better with an A-GPS refresh). This is well documented and numerous fixes have been offered with varying degrees of success. I use my phone with Google Maps in lieu of a standalone GPS both in my vehicles and when I travel and the device's ability to function in this manner is important to me.
Based on your experience how well does it work? If you wouldn't mind or haven't done so already, could you use the GPS Status app to put the GPS through its paces? It's a free download. Here's the link:
