Hey everyone, so i woke up few days ago and I found my Redmi 5 Plus in so called Hard Bricked state. Idk why it bricked cause I put it on a charger over night and when I woke up it was in that state. I tryed a lot of diffrent solutions that I found on the NET, but one that I had most success with was the test point method.

But every time I tryed to flash using this option flashing proces got stuck on ping via firehose and after few seconds of that I would get and error.
I'll attach my log in this post and hopefully somone can help because I am really desperate.

Thanks in advance

@iAmDominik
Actually can you enter to fastboot, recovery?
How are you flashing through EDL mode?
What android version are you using and what version of tool?
More info may be useful so users can help you, it could be good you attach an image from MiFlash tool to see which options are you checking.

I can't enter it I am using Test Point method to enter EDL mode.
Google it if you want to know more about it. I can't post links.
You should google this: [Device Team] [ifelixit] Guide to Flash Bricked Redmi 5/Plus by TestPoint Method

I tryed a lot of diffrent version. I tryed global ones and chinese ones because I found out that you can flash chinese version if you dont have unlocked mi flash.
And i tryed diffrent versions of tools. 2015 one, 2 from 2016, one from 2017 and one from 2018. If you want to know specific version numbers i can find them.

I asked if you can enter to recovery mode (vol up + pwr at same time).

I Flashed many times using EDL mode, for this I asked how you are doing it.
Some recommendations that can help in your case:
- To flash correctly through MiFlash tool you have to disconnect battery cable flex and disconnect fingerprint flex too. Don´t reconnect any of them while the process is running.
- Rename the folder of the rom for short just vince and move it into the same Xiaomi folder where is placed the tool. When you choose the path of the rom browse to where is placed images and the bat files not inside images folder.
- This step is tedious but it could be needed;
Uninstall first all the drivers from your pc (some version could make conflict)
Now disable driver signature from your pc and reboot it,
Now disconnect from internet your pc and install as administrator (don`t forget this) drivers for "Qualcomm HS-USB 9008 Download" for 32/64 bits according your pc architecture (just Google before),
In device Manager from your pc your device has to be recogniced under this name mentioned before.
- Don´t open any task in your pc while the flashing is running.

Thanks for suggestions il try them as soon as I can.
Do you have a suggestion on which version of miflash should i use. Some posts online are saying latest, some are saying one from 2015 and so on.
Also should i use chinese stable flashboot ROM or something else?

Again, can you enter to recovery? so in recovery you can flash also a firmware.

I think that this version could work smoothly https://en.miui.com/thread-2197836-1-1.html about older versions I don´t think so, older versions can´t match with a device released after.

The best rom that you have to try is the firmware that came preinstalled onto your device, won´t do difference flashing other version.

@iAmDominik Are you able to unbrick your mobile?
Even I have hard bricked my device, in my case I am able to successfully flash the fastboot ROM through the Test Point method. But still after connecting back battery not able to boot the device, its getting stuck on Mi logo.

Tried flashing global vince V11.0.2.0.OEGMIXM, V10.2.3.0.OEGMIXM, V9.5.3.0.NEGMIFA, none of them worked.
Have read about Anti-roll back protection but am not sure which version should I flash.

If you are able to unbrick your device, can you tell which version ROM you had flashed?

Normally the first boot need a long time. Maybe help to go in the stock recovery and make a factory reset
