Aha! I don't think i've seen the HTC One bechmarks yet, but personally i don't give a rats ass if the One is 5% (or whatever) faster than the Z. I don't play heavy 3D games, so the Z will do it for me. Some of you do play 3D games and what not, so the One might be a "better" device for you, but i wouldn't expect huge differences in performace between those two. It's not like the Z will pull off 20 FPS and the One 60 FPS. It'll be more like 57 FPS Vs 60 FPS.
Games are heavily dependent on the GPU and both devices share the same graphics chip.

Not a hard choice at all. Both devices have completely different strong points. Don't look at CPU because in real life they perform exactly the same. Go for Z if you like the design, want to use Sony's features like Throw, Bravia Sync, Walkman app, NFC features with other Sony products, Smart Tags etc. if you like the design, and want your device to be waterproof.

If you prefer aluminum body, Sense, Beats audio and other HTC-unique features, then buy HTC One.

For me it's that simple :) Both devices have unique design/software features. You have to decide which suit you best.

Personally.. I feel HTC One trying to squeeze ideas into a smartphones which are not primarily required for a smartphone. The Boom sound thingy.. I don't need 2 huge front speakers. I don't need super high quality camera. I have a DSLR for that. I'm buying a phone.. not a camera.

Also.. I feel the design is flawed. Don't get be wrong: the aluminium block looks and feels nice. But wait a min.. did you check out where the power button is now? It used to be on the top right on the OneXs.. shifted to the centre in the Butterfly and now on the One, it's on the top left. It's getting away from my index finger and that bothers me quite a bit. XZ on the other had has such an ergonomic power button which I appreciate.

And like someone mentioned this already.. What's with the HTC logo being in the middle of the buttons? There's no symmetry and it looks odd. On top of it, they threw away 1 button. That's just not Android.

So well, this is my design perspective and is subjective. The only thing ZX looses out is the processor speed. I have to admit I did feel some lag while browsing through the ZX UI. But then again, I tested the butterfly with similar specs with Nova launcher and it was buttery and fast. I'm pretty darn sure the ZX can achieve that state (using a different launcher, firmware optimization, etc).

End of the day like many said.. go and try them both :)

Not only is it not fair, it is flat out false in almost all aspects.

Did none of u guys decide to investigate it before blindly believing what it says?

Seriously? Lol

Fanboyism at its best.
Lol you're funny :)

really a "joke" comparison. not fair at all..
That is one of the automated comparison sites, none of them are accurate and are just used to generate advertising income. I don't think anyone is taking that seriously

OR you could just credit some of us with the intelligence to know that the list posted WAS B/S, which most of us spotted straight away.

Yeah, he didn't do that even though in is original post he himself quoted lordmanhattan who put huge red squares around the discrepancies.

Strange. Guess it's a case of people seeing only what they want to see.

Wait.. what?!

:D
The Xperia Z also have a wireless charger if you didn't know. This thing uses some linguistics to parse phone details. Dunno where they are getting details from. But for already released phones, the details are quite ok. Also you can check the real size of the thing.

The Xperia Z doesn't have wireless charging!

Anyways posted back here! :D My sister got the Xperia Z and I am waiting for the HTC One. :) Both devices are even each has it's own unique feature to counter the other.

Xperia Z - HTC One
MicroSD - 32/64GB storage
13mp Cam - 4mp Ultrapixel
Glass body - Aluminum body
Bravia engine - Zoe
Sony XLoud - Boom sound
Lighter timescape UI - Lighter sense UI

No one loses! If you compare it to boxing HTC One just made an upper cut on Xperia Z but Xperia Z manage to do a Gazelle Punch. Both knocked down! Then decided to punch the referee(SGS4) instead. And both got disqualified lol! :D

it has wireless charging it doesn't have fancy inductive charging but still wireless. the gold metal pins at the site are used for that.
