On the AC1450, the entire 5GHz channel is unstable, N and AC. not just android but ios devices too.
2.4 works fine almost all the time.

Hello there... I just wanted to mention that i had made the jump to netgear ac1450 (ac, 2.4ghz, 5ghz) it was between that and the asus. But i picked the netgear because costco had a special sale on it, plus costco has awesome Costumer Service, and warranty in case something goes wrong... anyhow long story short, i am able to use both the 2.4 ghz and the 5 ghz without any hickups at least for now( knock on wood). although i would like more range it is definitely outdoing my linksys wrt54g which i had dd-wrt installed on both speed and range. From about 30 feet i get about 3-4 bars on the 2.4 ghz and about 2-3 bars on 5 ghz. also the signal is going through 2 ceilings. I will update if i experience any trouble, honestly i was a little worried when i received my phone because i had some wifi issues the first couple of days ( drop wifi and what not) but i haven't noticed it recently ive had the note 3 for about 2-3 weeks so far.

Hi,
I'm using Note 3 with RT-AC66U.
The max speed I ever hit using the 5G wifi is 70mbps. Same as my iPhone 5S (which only supports up to 802.11n)
Is there anything that I have missed out in the setup?

Thanks
